RME Fireface 800 is the best audio interface ive ever used. Excellant build quality and design. Incredibly stable drivers and useful software. Its the sound quality that really does it. You get what you pay for. Soundcards can either be the weakest or strongest link in your audio chain - often it pays to save up, and go for medium/higher end. I cannot imagine ever needing to replace this - Full Marks 10/10
Yes, as long as the FW800 connection is operating at full speed (as it does on a Mac). Use "Limit Bandwidth" to block out any unused channels and you can daisy chain 3 together for all analog channels. Or use 2 daisy chained and one in stand alone.

Just connect a digital I/O (optical) two your interface and set one to clock master and one to clock slave. Done.
