Can someone PLEASE explain to me, WHY the next video on the "recommended" list at the right, is not always (or hardly EVER) the next movement. Why do I have to scroll for a time when listening to a multi movement piece, to find the next movement? Why?
Perhaps it's my background in jazz and other "interpretive" musical idioms, but it is PRECISELY the differences from one rendition to the next that I find the most interesting. I'm not married to any particular interpretation, don't judge performances at this level of execution to be good/bad/best/worst (that's the purview of "American Idol", imho), and look forward to experiencing the nuances the next group of artists bring to any work. And I, too, would love to have heard Bach perform this!
I guess you do not know that they do an Historically informed performance, so they play everything exactly how it should be played. There are no interpretation or something like this in those recordings. So you can't say it is "stiff" and "too quick".
ah.....this was used in an adapted - and original - form in the BBC hit film Truly Madly Deeply... don't it break your heart... the music i mean! Well put on SollDeoGloria8550

I hate the delay in the transition to each minor movement. it is a delay in the second note in this "rendition," and it is excruciating
