Sound idea...
Electric arc on the "blinking" part then a wind sound or a slow fuse noise for the vanishing.

in my opinion, you first need a sound! then you can construct and visual effect or text which matches.
try to find a sound first, because you probably wont find any sound which matches with your effect.
