  • @lisakn27 I have heard stories like that...do you know what particular town or year something like that happened?

  • @Relleq Can't remember exact tornado, or what city, but did see one on The Weather Channel. Also one girl and her kids were in the outbreak last year and it happened to them. She was on the show "Outbreak"

  • @lisakn27 I actually know of a story where a tornado opened a barn door, sucked the tractor out, turned it backwards, put the tractor gently back inside, and shut the barn doors.

  • This had to be an EF5 to do that house that way. Dang, that is the scariest thing I've ever seen. Glad no one was in that house!

  • why did the tornado cross the road? to destroy a house

  • Daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaammmmmmmmnnnnnnnn

  • It's Bush's fault!

  • I remember hearing this being an EF2. And to me, it looks more like the roof or as what torn80s said the second story.

  • oh..my..god!

  • EF4 Tornado

  • I think this was an EF2.

  • I can't believe people live in toronado alley and build their homes out of toothpicks & syrofoam thinking the worst will never happen to them!! IDIOTS!!!

  • @nunderst in in ?

  • I can't belive the power of the tornado!!!

  • And that's why you don't take your little dog and run away from Auntie Em...let this be a lesson to you!

  • that didnt come apart it went airborne

  • this is great video. of The EF2 Attica Ks tornado lifting the roof off that house

  • actually this tornado was rated EF4

  • i think so too. cuz an ef 2 or 3 wouldnt lift the roof of the house before the tornado is actualy over the house lol

  • Total destruction = EF5 or the old F5. The EF scale is not mesured by size.

  • Ever since a dear friend of mine named Dorothy had a particularly traumatic encounter with a tornado in Kansas (an F-3 as I recall) I've kept my distance. She doesn't talk about it much anymore except sometimes to ask, "Why in God's name did I ever want to come back to Kansas?" By the way, M-G-M filmed and filmed and filmed that tornado picking up the farm house but couldn't use most of it. There is one shot of the farmhouse being blown away but it's so clearly a miniature they dumped it.

  • Folks, tornado size has nothing to with tornado strength. A little tube can be an F-5, a big wedge can be an F-0. I believe I read the house was new construction and had not been occupied yet.

  • If F-strengh is determined by how much it eats, than would it be logical to assume that a bigger tornado has much more strenghth than a smaller one - even if it is just picking up dirt, and asphalt.

  • I'm just reporting the facts (I'm a journalist, we tend to do that). A little spindly funnel can be F-5, a big monster be an F-1. You're absolutely right, it ain't logical but it is reality. There's plenty of footage which illustrates the reality, too. That's why tornadoes are so endless fascinating and baffling. They don't make sense!

  • S'cuse me Wayne, and don't take this personally....but nowadays I don't think that most reporters reports the facts at all. The majority of them that I see, hear, and read seem to have a major bias towards a particular end. I think of journalists in this country as urinalists. Like I said, please don't take that personally, I just wouldn't be so high and mighty about "being a journalist". They've got about as much cred as Congress.

  • fake

  • yeah these guys called up dreamworks and industrial light an magic to make a million dollar 2 minute clip just to get people to belive they saw a tornado.........dumbass

  • There is no way this is an F5. if it were an F5 I highly doubt you would see the horizon behind the tornado. And from judging the size in relation to the road, it is not very big. F5 are generally miles across. Yes, Miles.

  • size is no judge of a tornado's true strength..not every tornado thats a mile wide is an ef5..and vise versa..a large tornado might seem to have more destructive winds because it sits over an area for a longer period of time then a smaller one...A prime example of an EF5 that was ONLY a few hundred yards or less in width was the Ellie tornado in Canada..look up the video its a confirmed f5...actually the majority of EF5s ever to happen are a mile or less in diameter

  • the largest tornado on record was 2.5 miles in diameter and it was rated an EF4...point is you cant judge a tornado's strength purely on its size alone.

  • Holy...and thats like only an F2 or F3!

  • Freaking awesome!

  • u motherfcker....i hope u die from tornado and then in hell u say "freaking awesome!" dicklicker

  • Tornadoes are an awesome force.

I don't understand how you would be angry with something so beautiful.

  • awesome!

  • u fucking bitch....i hope u get teareed up by a tornado and then say "awesome!" dick face

  • OWNED

  • Many house in the USA and Canada are made of wood, but some are very strong and some are partial masonry (brick, cinder block, stone) and wood. Some house are not very strong. Wood, however, is flexible, so that helps to some degree, but not anything helps against a F4 or F5 tornado. The wooden house in the video was simply ripped and lifted off its concrete foundation by the terrific wind updraft. F2 and F3 can also knock down thinner masonry walls.

  • Actually, what is lifted up in this video was the roof. This tornado was an EF2.

  • No, the entire house was lifted, not just the roof. You must be blind. I do believe this was an F4 or F5 and it may be the Andover tornado.

  • I awa before and after pictures of the house. The buildin was still standing but the roof and part of the second story were gone. This may be the Attica, Kansas tornado so many people are talking about.

  • Actually it's the Attica, Kansas tornado from May 12, 2004.

  • @christof139 and you're an asshole

  • @christof139

This was not the Andover tornado I know that. It hit near Attica, Kansas.

  • @christof139 It's actually an F-2 and all it has done was stripping the house off the roof and messing things inside. I know because I'd seen this tornado in some other video.

  • @kubat1987, No, it is an F4 or F5 as stated in other videos etc. An F2 wouldn't come close to lifting an entire frame house off its foundation.

  • @christof139

I've seen a pic of the aftermath of this. The house was missing it's roof and a wall on its upper floor. That would be considered high F2 damage.

  • @christof139 Actually, this was an F4 tornado in Attica, Kansas, ironic its in Kansas, isn't it?

  • @christof139 It looks like a strong F4 to me.

  • WIZARD OF OZ!

  • AUNTIE "M", AUNTIE "M"...You think that yappy dog Toto was there also?

  • It was a house under construction.. almost complete. No people were inside

  • @snowhound ...thank you God!!!

  • Did you guys go back to see if the family was okay after filming that?

  • Holy Sh*t O_O

  • what are houses in america made of????

  • not much nowadays ;)

  • omg

  • tornadoes are windy

  • i dont hear any tornado horns?

  • THE WIZARD OF OZ LIVE FOOTAGE!

  • Attica KS tornado

  • Oh my GOD! Were there any people in the house? Were they okay?

  • Most likely they were in their shelter (hopefully), so they should be safe and they probably have tornado insurance (I think it's required).

  • wow

  • Attica...Attica
