@deezynar "water proofing" Well you could use redguard or drylock But theres nothing to protect , and you be holding back water thats needs to weep from behind wall board if you water proofed the bottom.
I didn't think ANYONE worked with this much skill, awareness, and commitment to quality, anymore. You are truly a tileMASTER. Thank you for taking the time to share your skills with the rest of us.
you are an ARTIST!!! I am duly impressed with your know-how and your artistic ability. I want to thank you for posting your beautiful work. I am currently doing my master bathroom and have been researching and browsing youtube for people like you. Thanks again and continuous success with your endeavour!
Nice job bud, thanks for the great advice. You didn't mention what you do if you have an end of the bench open. I'm guessing you'd just use a piece of durock? What did you use on the joints on the densguard? Tape and then caulk? What do you think about caulk and then redguard? If you use caulk, is tape really needed?
looks good man

Very Smart, best way to go. Wood framed benches always cause headaches.

Could you put water proofing over the blocks and seal the bench before you lay tiles on it?
