i guess silverchair grew up but some of their listeners didn't. i can't imagine someone 30+ still listening to frogstomp with teenage angst. ok, all albums are cool and i listen to them from time to time but diorama is i guess the most mature and have wonderful ideas. it's just pure talent and creativity both in means of composition and sound/production.

It's not GRUNGE that's the reason people stopped supporting Silverchair. It's that they completely went LIGHT and POPPY and DANCE. that's a whole different genre. I was attracted to the heavier elements and the passionate singing. Neither of which are present in modern day Silverchair. I think the band knew this and broke up. Daniel know longer wants to rock out.
