It should probably be made clear. Tigers can not actually fight bears, they must hunt them. The Sun Bear has some of the nastiest claws on the planet. While it's not as strong as some of the larger bears these claws are still very capable defensive weapons. Tigers must ambush these bears, the same way big cats must ambush crocadilians, from BEHIND. Sun Bears are not very large by any stretch of the imagination, as we can see in this video they aren't any larger than American Black bears (cont)
(cont) and lack the strength to keep something the size of a Tiger off of it once it's been ambushed. Despite their small size, they are still strong enough due to their stockier build to put the pain on the Tiger if it attacks foolishly from the front. It should probably be made clear. Tigers can not actually fight bears, they must hunt them. The Sun Bear has some of the nastiest claws on the planet. While it's not as strong as some of the larger bears these claws are still very capable defensive weapons. Tigers must ambush these bears, the same way big cats must ambush crocadilians, from BEHIND. Sun Bears are not very large by any stretch of the imagination, as we can see in this video they aren't any larger than American Black bears (cont)

Despite their small size, they are still strong enough due to their stockier build to put the pain on the Tiger if it attacks foolishly from the front. This is why apex predators virtually never kill each other in head on confrontations with the exception of ones which seem to naturally truly hate each other such as Lions and Hyenas.
