Crazy talk is actually a photo morphing software. It is 2d. However, if you also have iClone 3d program, you can do the lipsync in crazytalk and import the expressions and sync into your iclone Avatar.
LOL@the 'Hey buddy, will you commit a felony for me? Pulllllleeeeeezeeeee'
I use MIMIC a lot and it's a very solid app for anybody working with D|S or Carrara.
The best results I seem to get are when I don't use the additional text - just the straight up voice file. MIMIC is an excellent tool and does not have a steep learning curve. To the best of my knowledge it doesn't work with the Poser family of figures, but that doesn't really matter as Poser has it's own built-in lip sync studio.
hey body can you please upload mimic pro for carrar in rapidshare or any file host coz i dont wanna buy it before i try and there is no demo version for carrar only for lightwave i couldnt find it on rapidshare or torrents please help us once i loved it i will buy it just wanted to test it thats all. thanks in advance.
I've never used Crazytalk, but from what I understan it is more of a straight out of the box, all purpose, lip synch progam, while Mimic is specifically for rigged 3D models. It really depends on what you want to do.
I find it to be the best option for lip-syncing Poser figures.
I'd recomend downloading the demo, and try catching one of Daz's specials. If you don't have some of the other software, the Economic Stimulus Bundle running until the end of May is a great deal!
I don't think so, but at this point, you might be better off with the Stand alone version. Mimic has been really well intigrated with Carrara, but I've found there are still some Carrara animation workflow issues that effect the usefulness of Mimic for Cararra.

I thought about getting Mimic, but I did not know if it was really worth it. Do you recommend it?
