  • Nice ! Peace 2 All!

  • I want that guitar men...

  • love it man! you've got the feel and the soullll brothaa!

  • What other colors does this guitar come in?

  • Beautiful playing, amazing tone ! great way to follow the song's melody.... if I could make a suggestion, perhalps a bit of a subtle rain in the background, and the song would be even more relaxing, in my personal opinion

  • What are your settings on the Lone Star?

  • The guitar choice of the real tona masters - Carlos Santana and Al di Meola

  • The neck is thick more like late 50`s early 60`s LPs, its not a very fast neck by any means, but the tone is second to none which is just my personal preferance. Heres the short version, I dont shred `cause I (dont know how) lol. thanks

  • how fat is the neck? is it hard to shred on the santana md?

  • You have a great touch on the instrument. Nice use of the bar as well!

  • Brilliant guitar, awesome tone, nice playing!

  • Like it alot dude - like the way you play the mode riding the melody, answering it back one thing leading to another - trez cool

  • how much did it cost, dude? i´ve been thinking about get it but it´s hard to find in Mexico

  • nice guitar and great tone man

  • Gorgeous tone and when the note swells, it's just like Carlitos. Well done.

  • Nice noodling.....

    tx :-))

  • Nice guitar, nice sound

  • Hi robbisan, just the guitar into an early lonestar, no effects just a little reverb. Thanks

  • Ciao FireGrace, i love this Santana sound!! is the natural tone of the Santana Md guitar or uses effects or pedal?

  • How did you like the Santana MD, and how much did you pay for it?

  • Santanaaaaaaaaa!!

  • jajaja you aint playing man

    jajajajaj

    but the music its good

    jajajajajjajjaja

  • what color is that Santana MD?

  • McCARTY sunburst

  • VERYYYYYY NICEEEEEEE...added to favorites....very tasteful playing...Peace

  • nice playing !!..i have a santana 1 and a three .looking for a 2, but this Md..sounds really cool..playing thru a boogie??

  • Thanks for the demo, Bro.

    Good job.

    Vinni from V-Picks

  • Thanks Vinny, but I just saw your demo and now I know your just being kind lol, I should be YOUR roadie!

  • nice tone man!!!how much did that guitar cost you if you dont mind me asking...cuz i have been looking into getting one!!

  • About 3 thou, trade included. Thanks for watching! Peace

  • I saw an older Santana Model in GC yesterday! Damn that thing was stunning! The abalone (full bird, not hollow) inlays looked like figgin opals! Orgasmic! The frets shined like precious metal! The rosewood fingerboard was so damn dark it looked like ebony! It was one of the red/orange flame grains! OMG!

But the real Santana has a full rosewood neck, not mahogany and the inlays are not hollowed out! The MD looks like a downgrade to keep it affordable!

  • Yes those early customs are just beautiful which is probably why I dont own one, id be deafly afraid to nick it or scratch it lol! I did own a georgous teal sun burst santana III which i used as a trade for the MD, but you said it man, "affordabillty", they START at about 8 GRAND!! right out of the custom shop! Id be scared shit less to even take it out of the case at that price LOL!!

  • Went back to GC today to take a second look! It was a Santana Private Stock! They were selling it at about $6G!

  • i've had my md for a year. very versatile.

  • damn fine playing with damn fine tone. keep up the playing, man.

  • nice guitar!!

    cool!!

  • hey what strings u usin, ernie balls?

  • Usin D'Adarios, thanks for watching.

  • Man you look gangster but fucking have the tastiest licks and tone!!!!!..... Some of those touches remind me of 'Breezin' By George Benson. And nice PRS!!!!! They're simply amazing.

  • Thanks for the comment, but you're Way too kind lol! peace.

  • Man, Phenomenal sound. Thanks for posting this video. I already have 3 PRS guitars (Custom22, McCarty & Singlecut) but was considering getting Santana's MD model. I also have a Mesa Lonestar. What are your settings on channel 2? Do you use the drive or clean switch setting? Your feedback is greatly appreciated as I'm a huge Santana fan and must say YOU NAILED the sound. FANTASTIC!!! Please keep in touch. Peace -G.

  • Thanks "G"! Well, Ive watched some of your videos and it looks like you've got quite a wide and diverse "fret board vocabulary" if you will, and really nice tone! The "MD" has got tone for days, and would only compliment your talents, not only because its one component of santana tone, but being able to split the "hums" with an "active circuit" and get that funky fender "tele" or "strat" tone is just so sweet! I'll post another comment for the settings.

  • The settings that I use for "Carlos" are a best case senario setting, although he has one signature "footprint" sound, he wears different styles of shoes, if you will ie; "LP" with the "twin", "SG" with the "Mark1", "PRS" w/ "Dumble", cabinets? Mic placements and so forth!! So I chose the "tone" that appeals to me, "driveswitch" at the "drive" position, Ch 2 drive "knob" at 1o'clock, Gain, treb, and mid, at 1;30, bass at 11, presence at 9, master at 1o'clock, and THEN...

  • Thanks for posting the info. I will experiment a little to get a good Santana sound myself. Peace bro, -G

  • and THEN listen to a few of his influences, like BB, Gabor, Wes, old "Gypsy" guitarists,if for nothing else but a little insight as to why he chose to throw technicality to the wind, and play only from the heart and not the brain! Hope this helped a little " G". Keep runnin to the "Light"!!! Peace

  • Yeah man! Carlos has so many sounds and he's constantly tweaked his tone over the decades. But my favorite tone was from the the Lotus period (1973 - 1975)! There are so many guitar & amp combos, but for me the secret is in the fingers. The way Carlos pulls off and hammers on, the little sliding grace notes, his bends, trills and his timing and overall phrasing is what makes his sound regardless of equipment.

  • You got that right bro! You know as young children layin in bed in the morning waitin for school, you could tell which one of your parents was coming down the hall just by the sound their feet made on the floor "regardless" of what shoes they were wearing! To me Carlos' tone is unique and exclusive only to him, its the magic that happens in the micro space between the tip of the finger and the string, the "Big Bang" of love an honesty happens right there! No equipment in the world can do that!!

  • Wow, beautiful sound!....what amp/effects are you using? We do really hope to see more from you soon.

  • Thank you cruzarcos! The guitar is going directly into an Mesa "LoneStar", channel 2, no effects just a little amp reverb, gain set at about 1o'clock. Im working on a few videos now, they'll be up soon. Thanks again, Peace.

  • lol thats one stubborn whammy u got there :P

  • Lol, yes it does look that way but actually I ride the volume and tone controls back and forth quite a bit and for a little control I hold on to the arm, but I agree it does look like its pissin me off LOL. thanks for the comment.

  • Thankyou continentalg5.I totally agree on the beauty of these instuments, although i must say im just as impressed with the tone, but you know exactly what I mean with that McCarty Brazilian! Way Cool! Thanks again.

  • Wow, sounds EXTREMELY close to Santana's tone! Fantastic!

Also, the guitar is really beautiful! I have an 06 McCarty Brazilian, and I must say that PRS really makes some of the most beautiful guitars.

    5 Stars!
