glosy screen noooooo :(( love the netbook but glosy.... what is with the computer industry today all glosy, glosy macbook, eee pc, ibm's, they are good but not in sunlight and daylight, especially if you have good battery life, you are expected to use it outside and everywhere and anywhere, RIGHT? damn i want one so bad, a mate seashell

This looks very similar to Mini 1000 from HP...

I like it very much.

The differnece is Asus made things a bit better in netbook than HP at lower price..

Will it have the GN40 chipset or still the old and slow 945GSE?

Hard disk will be 1,8" or 2,5"?

I looked some benchmark on the net about the Mini 1000's hard disk, 1,8" @ 4200rpm and its performance isnt very exciting...The higher value of trasnfer rate in sequential write was just 26-28,against eee 1000he that was about twice speed.

I hear there would be only 2 USB ports on this, but then again compared to some HP laptops and the HP Mini 1001tu, this isn't much of a problem. That's what the USB docking stations are for.

I'd buy this over all the other netbooks; if it has sufficient battery life, less heat, lightweight and stylish and good memory storage.

I know my parents would love this thing, slim form factor, portable, hopefully cheap, and they wouldn't use it for much except checking their e-mail accounts and maybe watching a bit of youtube.

i should have known when amazon started price slashing the 1000HA...now i feel gyped...  The only thing i didnt like about the HA was the thickness and who knew that the moment i bought it a new model that is not much more expensive comes out !
