Poor technique on at least a couple of the spins; the camera clearly shows control column deflection, the yoke is supposed to be neutral throughout the spin especially the recovery.
hehe...did it in a 172 after getting bored trying to burn solo hours...the zero g's are fun too when you bring the nose up a little, reduce power, then quiclky but gently push the nose down... a binder from the backseat came FLOATING casually to the front and landed ontop the dash lol
These movies don't do spins justice, there much more fun in real life. With my first instructor, at the end of every lesson we would climb to 8000 ASL and spin down to about 5000 or so...not too dangerous so long as the spin doesn't flatten out (has to be very aggravated to avoid flatening, don't try extended spins without highly trained instructor on board...oreferable acrobatics instructor rated. me and my new instructor both agree that we souldnt try it since he isn't acrobatics certified).
exactly man... i did my first spin today... im a student pilot.. i did t with my instructor.... first 3-4 times was a simple wingrop... after that,, in the 5 th one, he just hit the same rudder of the wingdrop n opposite aileron... damnnn..... it was like zupp,,, n it got into a spin.. i recovered after the 4th spin .. damn,, when he was doing it,[my instructor] ... it was scary,, when i did it myself... it was sooooooo fun..... the best thing one cod try in life.
Get comfortable with them-- they come in handy practicing stalls during any solos-- I don't know how many times I've accidentally entered a spin... especially when doing a turning stall with incorrect setup. Like forgetting to turn first before starting the stall. Yeeha!
hahaha, wow. I'm a CFI and if there are any pilots out there who agree with the person in this video who stated "the inclinometer (ball) is deflected to the left because the instrument is on the left side of the panel" you are mistaken. The "ball" is deflected because of centrifugal force and is an indication of relative wind, among other things. The wing opposite the deflection will drop first, be more stalled and then be the main cause of the autorotation seen in this video.
He was probably setting up for slow flight. You drop full flaps and fly the plane at or near it's minimum controllable airspeed - which is usually when the stall horn is just starting to go off. The horn is supposed to start sounding at ~10kts above the actual stall speed. If you ever go for your PPL, you'll learn how to fly like that.
The POH of the Cessna recommends only 3 rotations with a spin I counted 5 with the last one. I'm just glad that I'm not flying that aircraft after you done with it. The movie clip was called spin awareness don't see any real information on it. And also like Pattyboy 10 said you are destroying your instruments. Also some of your spin entries looked very wrong.
thats the stall warning harn it tells or war the pilot that the aircraft is about to stall or to a none pilot it mean that the aircraft wing is no longer creating lift. so in the event he don't want to be in a position like you see they in which is a control spin he will have time to lower his noise back to the horizon and get out of it.
Hey, you know what would be interesting, is to carry an extra TC and hold it on the right side of the panel to see how it would go to the right. Nice video! --Steve
Hmm think ill ask my CFI to do this tomorrow...

Bobcat: Not correct. The column should be held back to maintain the spin. It's always the wrong people who make the cocky comments.

imagine the stress on the airframe, frightening.

No more than straight and level flight. Except the recovery, which still is much lower than the plane is certified for.

the stall warning horn was screaming: OMG IM GONNA DIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

lol kudos to the guy that managed to hold the camera thru that

Apparently you never done a spin in an airplane with two "inclinometers" (one on each side of the panal). RAA grad eh? no wonder....

Speaking of stall horns, why does the spotter plane in the first sequence have his stall warning go off??

I think they overlayed the sound a bit.

no sound overlay. Might be the quality of the upload. I converted it in a media converter to downsize the file. Not sure though.

This was made by a couple of instructors at the school I attended. We had two planes that were only used for spin training ONLY.

lol thats crazy i cant wait to try it

Dude lock your gyro's, you are fucking them up this way ! You cant do navagation flights with that plane anymore !

These planes were ONLY used for spins. I don't think they cared about fucking up the gyros.

It is the pilot's unvoluntary squeaking as the fluids in his head are compressed as the g forces act upon him.
Actually it is the stall horn haha.
sexyukie 5 years ago
what is that squeaking?
