  • 3:12 I just love this one. The colors are so complementary and the cake is pleasing to the eye. Thank you!

  • Buttercream recipe

    2 cups shortening

    2 pounds powdered sugar, sifted

    2 Tbsp meringue powder

    2 tsp flavoring

    7 Tbsp water

Mix shortening, water and flavoring. Slowly add 1/2 the powdered sugar and mix for 2 minutes. Add meringue then the rest of the sugar. Mix for another 2 minutes until creamy. Do not whip if you planning on spreading the frosting because it will leave bubbles in the frosting.

  • how do you make the cream ? please please answer

  • @InesBBerry Read the comments. Jesus.

  • what size tips did you say you where using and are there other tips that can be used instead????

  • @gngstafyd You can use ANY size petal tip or a curved petal tip. My faves are 126 and 121.

  • Hey ...... I am getting into the cake business...I am 21 and all down for it... Do you have any tips? You are amazing in your decorations!!

  • @anstonratnayake One of the best resources for all things cake related including the cake business is at cake central.com. There is an entire forum for business people.

  • wat song is this?

  • @daisymercade777 "So Close" by Jon McLaughlin from the movie Enchanted

  • Absolutely stunning.. thankyou kindly for the hints and video. Gorgeousness. :)

  • so time consuming~

  • @Skuksy I'll agree it looks time consuming, but it takes the same amount of time to frost, smooth, and decorate a regular cake. After my first one I was able to do it much faster.

  • that's beautiful!!! how many cups of buttercream did you use to crumbcoat and decorate your cake? oh and what size and height were the cakes? thanks!

  • @chebean2 This cake is 8" and 6" rounds. I used about double what I would normally use for just frosting it normal.

Crumb coat a 2 layer cake takes about 1 cup (I keep it pretty thin)

Pipping easily takes another 5 to 6 cups. Just take whatever you would normally use and double it, then you will have enough. ;) HTH

  • @chebean2 Bottom cakes are 8", top are 6". Both are 4 inches tall. I only use about 1 to 2 cups to crumb coat this cake.

  • loved this knack for decorating cakes.

    was very beautiful

  • @gininhanono Thanks so much I love it too!
