@rojblake82 Oh absolutely! But both of the 60s films were wonderful, different takes on the same fears. I'm just sick of people thinking modern reboots are better, they always miss the originals' overwhelming feelings of dread, replacing them with 'stars' instead of quality actors, and feeling the need to include unnecessary 'spectacle' inevitably falling flat in comparison. Shame it had Carpenter's name attached to it, it started his downward spiral...
@pupmeistergeneral I think that this film, ChIldren of the Damned, is ten billion times better than people give credit for. I also prefer Children of the Damned to Village of the Damned, I also liked the idea of the alien children in this film being a multinational group. I also noticed the children in this movie, which I saw eleven years ago had their eyes light up and become golden like in the earlier film. I remember the scene where these, children make a man shoot another man with his gun.
@pupmeistergeneral This film is better than its predecessor by billions of years, I would hate to see this film remade it should be left well alone and not remade like its predecessor stupidly was. I can imagine a remake, of Children of the Damned being just as crap as this if not more crap and worse than its predecessor is. I say if it is not broken do not fix it leave well alone and that is good advice. Leave Children of the Damned should be left as it is, do not remake it please lord.
