seems to be more respect for the bands of say the 80s etc. on the continent. the likes of depeche mode, simple minds have huge followings. whereas in the uk they don't seem to be given the respect they are due. guess record companies always whoring out new acts, most of which don't deserve to be given the job to clean the shoes of some of the big names of the past. Got to admit it too, I preferred Simple Minds to U2 in the 80s. love them both but special place for SM
