  • why did you hit the mic? shake the cam...of course youre going to hear shit when you hit the mic haha...

  • how old 're you?

  • Hey... I just went thru all the comments for this video & you were asked several times, what the lav mic that you were using for this particular video was & so far you haven't answered. Is there a reason. Please let us know!

It has really great sound & I want to buy it too. Thanks! :)

  • Damn its really noisy :(

  • what lav are you using in this review?

  • Kid, keep up the good work...your review is better than half these idoiots onYT

  • I am not trying to be mean or sound rude but, any audio recording on 2 channels is stereo, I am a musician and 2 channel devices ae stereo. what you mean is a pan is unable happen meaning you can't switch from one to the other.

  • how old r u?... you make me feel old and dumb! thanks a lot!.. i go slash my wrists and jump off the cliff :(.... :D

    good vid!

  • i just got this mic for my canon vixia hf s200 and the audio has hissing/noise. what do i do??? please help me. thanks

  • Great review, I am interested to go look it up and see how much for my new camera project.

  • not any camcorder....Sony HDR AX 2000 E doesnt have a 3.5 mm jack...

  • Christ! check your levels! ouch! quite annoying with the hissing sound hissssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss

  • you said this mic was mono.. then you said it was stereo.. stereo means, it records left and right . This is a condenser shotgun mic. only one direction. And the stabilisor doesnt protect against someone hitting the mic. its if there is vigorous movement of the camera.. the mic can move freely and not rattle etc. and what about the decibel change under the battery? other then that.. nice

  • great review, thanks.

  • I think the mic on your shirt sounds a tad bit better What's it called ??? And what camcorder do you use ??

  • this is such a great review. i wasnt totally sold on it at first but you convinced me im thinking. sounded really good

  • hm, this was a good vid bro, im ma sub you guys

  • When the reviewer says, "stereo" what he really means is that the TRS jack sends a mono audio to both channels. Not really really stereo per se. Still, this may help in post if you typically balance right and left channels for playback.

  • lol I love how this was a review for the rode videomic but most people want to buy what you used to record this with xD

  • great review man, this was a LOT better than the other video reviews I was trying to watch

  • I've just bought the Rode Stereo Videomic. Now that's really good. I'll be using it with a Panasonic HS700 camcorder

  • what editing software do you use?

  • your very good at this, this review really helped me tyx

  • awesome and fair review. Thanks for sharing bro! Gotta get me one one of these ASAP.

  • this is a very awsome review! most helpful so far. great job! will definately look into this

  • Thanks good video. I got a good deal on it. total of $83 shipped

  • @myboardshorts whered you get it?!

    & new or used?

  • nice review, just got my rode mic last week, i love it

  • Great review. it's also good to get a wide angle lens.

  • hey im thinking of buying this mic. can someone pm me if i can use this with my camera the sanyo HD 2000. it has a cold shoe fitting and i want to make sure it will fit on. thanks

  • Yes it will work.

  • I noticed that your voice sounded louder at times in your review. Did you enhance your audio in editing? Are you wearing a mic?

  • people used it for canon 5d M2

  • Great review dude. I like how in all these review videos though the person has a better mic than the one their reviewing so it sounds worse in comparison haha.

  • hey, what mic did you use to record this video? sounds good

  • i used a lavalier mic

  • @filmtipsandtutorials can u give me the model of the lavalier mic ur used plz... I want to buy one xD...

  • @RyanAPhan i thought it sounded pretty bad...way too loud and blown out...and sounds distorted

  • this mic is not stereo. it's a shotgun mic. you would have to get the Rode Stereo VideoMic for $249, which is great. just keep in mind that there are 2 different mics that you will probably want.

Shotgun - (Rode Videomic) - mono- tries to eliminate ambient noise and capture your main subject (ie. interviews)

Stereo Mic - (Rode Stereo Videomic) - stereo - tries to capture ambient noise with a little boost whever you point the camera. (ie. concerts, video of your band)

  • If you payed attention, in the beginning of the video, I said it records on both channels, but it is still mono.

  • yeah i caught that. i meant my response towards Ersovideo's comment below.

  • @filmtipsandtutorials Will this fit a cannon HF200?

  • @filmtipsandtutorials And if you watched the video he said "Stereo"-mic...

  • Hi,

Nice review....but the Rode Videomic you showed is NOT stereo....It's a mono-mic with a stereo jack....

  • Great Review buddy...I subscribed.

    Keep up good work.

  • hey could you answer to my question please 'cause I want to buy that mic

  • Hey, is this mic really stereo ? 'cause you said in the video that it was, but on rode's website they don't say anything about that.

  • thanks for the review. i'm planning on buying a Canon HV40 and I want an external microphone and decided to go with this one. the video is awesome too, nicely done!

  • A little to much sound effects.

  • nice job, clever guy

  • i'd like to know. did your parents buy that for you? or did you buy it yourself?

  • freaken spoiled kids

  • Yeah. Anything I want, I work my ass off for.

  • really good :)

  • y do u spend so much money cuz like $150 4 a mic but then theres tons of otha stuf u gatta by 2

  • What mic are you using for the review? (not the vidmic)

  • if you look at the black thing by his neck thats a levier mic its wireless and clips on

  • I give it 3/5

  • Thanks, good video!

  • how can you afford all this?

  • I thought the farther away from it you were the less sound there was. It doesn't sound like it has a good ranger.

  • dude just because you probably got paid doesnt mean you cant put any cons in

  • We didn't get paid, these are unbiased reviews.

  • nice :) 5/5
