  • The noise Stephen made at 0.37 actually made me spit my drink out :)

  • Looks like it must have been a recording from Auntie's Bloomers.

  • 0:36 the face he makes cracks me up!!! hahaha!!!!!!!!!!

  • This sketch was hilarious, but the blooper is brilliant :)

  • "...detonate our relatives and fly to dover."

    "Fly to dover?!"

  • I love this! I was just watching House season 3 bloopers and Hugh still makes those same hilarious faces when his co-actors make a mistake. Kills me every time.

  • Did they perform all their sketches in front of a live studio audience?

  • XD poor fry. about the time he can get it right and then hugh goes and laughs XD<3

  • hugh's face at 0:37 lol

  • Then of course HUGH has to laugh!! I love how Stephen starts blowing raspberries and Hugh is pulling faces, tee hee! Fun, fun stuff!

  • More! More! give us more bloopers of the F&L show! the only chance to look into the process of making their inimitable sketches :P

  • "Let's talk to kids about sex"

Part of me thinks the auto-transcribe subtitles need a bit of work. Part of me thinks they're exactly as they should be.

  • @evilegg288 Like hell they do. This is brilliant.!

  • @evilegg288 Fantastic :D

  • @HUNDOLOS Isn't it just? I wonder what Messrs Fry and Laurie would think?

  • the childish way they act at the end is simply adorable.

  • Love Fry at 1.14! Wonderful to see him react like a five year old.

  • lol

  • Both are so sweet!!!

  • Abosolutley amazing.

  • *Dying of laughter*

I love the part when Hugh's finally the one who starts laughing first *lol*

I LOVE bloopers ... I could just watch this stuff for hours!

It's too bad that there aren't any on the DVD's of the latest House Seasons ...

  • it seems so hard for them.. LOL

  • is there any other fry and laurie bloopers? So funny....This is the 1st ABOFL I watch. ^^ Thanks!

  • armstrong and miller stole this sketch.

  • Stole? More like paid homage to.

  • i love those guys :)

  • I love Laurie's expressions at 0:26, 0:36 (Oh Gosh! haha look at him!).

I love how Fry is pointing an accusing finger at him at 0:47 while both of them are just laughing.

I love how Hugh cannot even say half of his lines at the end, how Stephen says "pfff" and Hugh is like "gnagna", like kids!

    I love them, I miss them. :)

  • love the last bit...=P

  • what did he say on 00:36?xD

  • Yes it did. I remember it distinctly.

  • It did appear...

  • the raspberry blowing between them got me

  • laurie and fry have my entire sympathy!

  • I just want to know what the man Smith has to do with it!!!

I dont know who's funnier, Hugh with his ridiculous faces, or Stephen speaking gibberish. Somehow I just thought he'd be too perfect to mess up his lines. EVER.

  • There should be more fry/laurie bloopers in the youtubiverse really... ;-p

  • @FastMonkeyBluePants I guess they were so good that not many happened

  • I love them! <3

  • That goes without saying. It cannot be any different!

  • it is now 27 summers since comerade milenski stood slightly to the left were you are now and told me, that one day a man would come in to this shop and give notice of his alligance with the prase: good morning.

    world class

  • "What's the matter with the man?"

    ahahaha.

  • laurie is doing funny face expressions.

  • Out-takes are always so much funnier when you know how clever they are, and how good they are when they're not giggling!

  • at the end they're so adults... xDDD

  • OMG! I love the rasberry stephen blows at hugh! rofl :P

  • Fry + Laurie <3

    :)

  • these two are adorable XD i love them

  • Hahahahahaha- In the third take you can see Hugh make some sort of face at Stephen to mess him up!

  • lol...

I loved the two of them in "A bit of Fry and Laurie." They were hilarious. Stephen should really guest star on House, either as a patient or better yet,he should get a full-time role. That would be so awesome!!!

  • i agree.. it would be a reunion for both of them...i think if it would happen, that episode shall have the highest rating...

  • Everyone would love stephen on House but Stephen doesn't like American shows cuz of how stressful they are. He guest starred on Bones a couple episodes but turned down a full time job.

  • well he could do one episode...

  • Yeah, they could also do a "A Bit of Fry and Laurie" reunion special!! That would be awesome!!

  • They've both said they'd love to do it, but our stupid TV executives think Lauries sold out and dont want him on our screens. Idiots.

  • HUGH Laurie Sold Out?? Never!!!!

    Those executives are idiots!!

  • It's so ignorant that people think "selling out" happens when someone becomes successful.

Playing not only an american but also a doctor/hard, rugged person is a challenging role, and he's talked about how it has helped him grow as an actor.

But I guess if finding the role of a lifetime, becoming an icon, and feeling your worth as an actor is selling out, then I guess the execs are right.

    -eye-roll-

  • I dont know how familiar you are with Hugh's early roles, but he used to always play the silly/posh/school boy type role. So to play the character he plays in House, he should get so much more praise than he does. The guy's branched out like no other. His on-screen partner Stephen Fry has became big again in the UK through a show called QI, so there's a big a chance nowof Fry and Laurie returning.

To me, it'd be stupid for the UK not to try and piggy back on Hugh Lauries success in the USA.

  • I am familiar, and I agree completely. Switiching from a comedic actor to a more serious role isn't "selling out", and people that think otherwise are moronic.

I agree- the smartest thing would be to

    a) cash in on his success and "reunite" him with his comedic background, and

    b) Introduce America to Hugh's real range.

    They'd make a fortune.

  • wasn,t Fry on the series "Bones" ? I believe so

  • yeah he played Dr. Wexler i think his name was? booth's therapist after he shot at the ice cream truck.

  • Dr. Wyatt

  • i liked whot you said right up till you said the uk should carry him whot the hell does that mean we dont realy nead the us in films or any other progect so please do tell

  • What Im saying is, Hugh Laurie is an internationally known television star, far bigger than alot of the comedian/actors in the UK at the minute. The reasons for not showcasing Lauries comedic and acting talents on our screens is laughable, since he's a much better actor that most of the former soap star efforts we have on our TV dramas.

  • i agree i realy do they are much better than the eferts we push forwerd at the moment but one is on US tv and the other is on UK tv and bothe making a very good living from it but if we forsed them back together it would not be the same as a egsample watch the new red dwharf im sorry for my spelling

  • @Applaudtheactor To many people, major success =selling out. It doesn't make sense, but that's the way it is. :/

  • @Applaudtheactor well said. as a fellow brit I'm glad hugh laurie has broken out of the foppy englishman role. good on him and it's uks fault for not seeing his potential

  • @apban Not seeing his potential? The UK has nurtured Hugh's creative side a lot more than the Americans.

  • I heard from an interview with Stephen that he only turned down Bones for the season because he wasn't able to do it, scheduling-wise. He would've if he could've.

  • Fly to Dover?

  • Wahahaa! The end was brilliant: Stephen screws up 4 times and finally, when everything semed alright Hugh screws up.

    That was genious.

  • OMG love them!!

I'm addicted to hugh but they're gorgeous toghether!

  • "fly to Dover?"

  • I adore Stephen, I'm addicted to House but how I love, love, love to see them together! Excellent stuff.

  • Hahaha, that little scowl that Hugh gave Stephen at the end was hilarious! I like seeing how they interact together xD

  • There is something wrong with the name Smith apparently - thats why Stephen cracks almost every time he says it :)

  • As in Psmith, from Wodehouse?

  • oh wow, i wasnt the only one making the Psmith connection?

  • Nope!

  • Excellent! I'm glad I wasn't the only one that thought that!

  • I LOVE the last bit where Stephen gives Hugh a raspberry. Classic!!

  • I've never seen that show, what's its title?

  • this? corect me if i misunderstood, but this show is called ''A Bit Of Fry and Laurie''

  • The awesomest show ever. ;)

  • think about it- take a look at a blooper track from House and compare it to this , for example. you can see the difference... stephen and hugh must have such a strong relationship

  • yes they do stephen is hugh's children's godfather, they are also best friends

  • i kinda knew that... i was just rying to make a point

  • aaahhh bloopers- the insight to the stars lives.

its so cool how we, the fans, get a small peek inside there actual relationship. you could tell just from this how having a meal with the two of them would go ( that would be the best experience of my life)...ahhh ... what would we do without bloopers??

  • Think about being able to spend just one day with these men - it would certainly be funny, interesting and fascinating. It's interesting to get a look on their friendship...

  • Lmao that's awesome. I loved that part at the end...so cute. XDD

  • lol, these two remind me so much of farin and bela (singer and drummer of the german band "die ärzte"). actually, i do believe that stephen felt more for hugh than just friendship. but how can i tell? anyway, stephen and hugh are hugely talented and they really are cute together :) :) :).

  • the band is called 'the doctor' ? anyway this was so funny ! !

  • the doctors ^^. 2 of the band members worked together since the late 70's and are still very close friends. they are quite funny, too. but apart from that they have nothing in common with fry and laurie, i guess.

fry and laurie are THE BEST!!!

  • I love how childish Stephen Fry is at the end . . . :P

  • Stephen doing a cameo on House would make my life complete . . .

  • he should so be a posh english patient :D

  • Omg that would be the best thing ever. lol

  • They're so cute together!!! :)

You can see clearly that they're not only colleagues, but also very good friends... They react so funny to each other...

It's really funny that Stephen keeps messing up, and when Hugh's messes up at the end, Stephen says: 'What is the matter with the man?' As though he never messes up... :)

  • Lol the end bit is so cute. They're great together!

  • oh that is my favorite sketch and the bloopers are awesome :D

  • hahahahhaha...they're so adorable.

  • detonate our relatives??? LOL!!!

  • lol you should see the whole sketch...it doesn't even make sense in context...and hence it's ball-bouncingly funny!

  • Wow, this was hilarious !

the last seconds are the cutest thing ever ^^

  • its grand to see stephen just noticing hugh's miniscule grin and then absolutely losing his composure, I love these 2, thanks so much for sharing, cheers

  • That was fantastic. Thanks!

  • Ahhh, how aborable :D

  • amazing double act, be great to see them collaborate on new stuff or even be in the same show drama or comedy

  • It's a shame the A Bit of Fry and Laurie boxed set didn't include such gems like this. I'd love to have a DVD of nothing but bloopers from these guys.

  • same! Are there any other bloopers from them? Where did this one come from?

  • :37 lol

  • I know Stephen Fry can be cheeky, but it's such a delight to see him blowing raspberrys at Hugh! :D

  • Rofl that was cute on hugh's part

  • At the end you can tell that they were just trying to not be the first one to laugh.

Do they actually ever finish the skit?

  • Sa, they did. It's just as hilarious completed.

  • I love Hugh's face at 00:38! This is so funny!

  • it was hugh's fault.

    he's so funny

  • "Mr. Dalliard and I were to detonate our relatives and fly into Dover."

I love Fry's character. I would gladly blow off a person's head with no more mercy than if they were a helpless seal pup called Arnold to become him.

I'm sorry, you must disregard everything I say when I have my hand on top of my head.

  • I don't know you, but I think I love you a little.

  • fly to dover?

  • where a man called smith would see us- nyeah!

  • "What is the matter with the man?"

    <3

  • Oh TOTALLY Hugh's fault at Take 3, he smiled first!

  • lol that was funny. luv those two!

  • Hahaha I could watch this all day.. oh wait I *have* been watching it all day. Thank you so much!

  • Hahahaha, hear hear! ;)

  • I LOVE them!!!

  • It doesn't sound like Merde. I think it's just nonsense. - <33 Stephen

  • wah there arent any other bloopers!! :( but i love these :) but i want more!!

  • I want more!!!!!!

  • More, pleeeeeaaaaaaaaaase!

  • o my that is HILARIOUS...do you have any other of these bloopers? i would love to them if you have them.

  • I'd definitely post more, if I had any, because Stephen and Hugh messing up is the most adorable. Unfortunately, I can't even recall from whence I got this one, so. :'(

  • What is Stephen saying in take 2 when he screws up? I can't make it out.

  • Can't help you there; it is a complete mystery. Maybe 'merde'? That's the best I can come up with, and it doesn't even sound very likely. Sorry. :)

  • Sounds like he just made a noise! Like "MURNYAH!"

  • This does sound the most plausible, as interpretations go, to tell the truth.
