I played under Mtro. Kleiber in 4 opera productions at the MET. It was pure magic! Probably the most wonderful musical experiences of my life. We've had great conductors, Levine, Barenboim, Ozawa and others but Carlos Keiber was in a league all by himself.
@harryvederci I totally agree with you in that Kleiber was a legend in his own right and a league by himself. I've watched Jansons, Abbado, Karajan and a couple of others, and he was one who placed himself in the music - and man, did he have fun!!!
Most eloquent gestures in the history of conducting. You look at his hands and you can almost visualize the music. The orchestra is obviously enthralled.
This is wonderful, thank you. Wonderful to have the two 'versions'. Do you have the 5th, please? Does anyone, apart form the ba one fro Mexico? Thank you so much, anyway. Thank you.

@loboris1995 No, the movement is in presto (ie. very fast).

@loboris1995 Beethoven was an intense guy, I don't mind that conductors interpret his music, such as his No. 7, a bit fast!! But that's just me!! :)

Kleiber is part of the music... he's the score. Unbelievable. von Karajan appears to be mashing potatoes next to Kleiber. Fantastic
