I know I'm 7 months late, haha, but I think Theo was unbelievable in 2002, he got offered a HUGE contract the following season. He tried to live up to the expectations, but the pressure got to him. The I think a series of negatives happened, with his family and the loan sharking incident, and him and the drugs incident, him and Paris Hilton, etc. It also doesn't help when your hometown is calling for your head, rather than support.

the canadiens havent exactly had a great goaltending season themselves. we avs fans wish the best for theo (we really do) and some crazies still want to see him START! can you believe it?! anyways. the avs probably still got the better end of the aebischer/theo deal cause theo can still play better than abby. even though they both suck now.

Hackett retired the year after we traded him. It was good to give him away then because we got something for him (If Im not mistaken it was by trade and not UFA). Aebi will be gone this summer indefinitly. He was crap this year and has never proven himself. If he kind find a job in the NHL he will go to switzerland.
