@jason127x99 You could probably fit 35in tires on a toyota if you hack the fenders up. But stock will only fit 31in tires or so. You can get cheap lift by getting shackle extenders or blocks. Not the best but it will clear bigger tires
@rawatson83 i dont know about that. my hilux has a 2 inch bodylift and a 2 inch suspension lift, runnin 33" tsl interco tires, and mine isnt top heavy at all, hilux arent really a big enough car to get top heavy. Landcruiser id start to agree with you :)
@jason127x99 i have 32x11.5 muds on my stock height 95 4runner. they slightly scrape on full lock when flexing but apart from that, they are fine. 2inch spring lift and you can squeze 33x12.5s. one of my friends has 35s on his. 2" body lift and 2" spring lift. depends what offset your wheels are too
He's right 33's at most without anything but with some fender trimming you could fit 35's but 33 is all you would want because 35's would equal no flex. I'm running 31x10.50's and they do the job well.

@jake92sc I Started with a 1981 subaru GL wagon. I had a 3 in lift on it and 29in mudding tires. It was awesome. If I were you I would watch your local craigslist like a hawk. Wait for an 80s style toyota to pop up with a blown headgasket or blown pump or something easy to repair. Any 80's style toyota solid front axle or not. You will find some that will pop up for like $600 that needs work. Fix them slowly and cut the crap outta the fenders and find some used 35in tires.

I just got on for 2200.00 I should have waited could found one cheaper but its an 85 one of the best years to get a old one last year for the straight axle and first year EFI. 86 was first year for IFS. SA is alot cheaper to lift. Im going to baby mine!

@jake92sc dude im 16 n i spent 2 grand in total on a 77 camaro... my first car ... like he said go to craigslist and look out for stuff tht has somthin easy to fix... another great way to make money is to intern at a mechanic shop (fiarly easy) and buy any car tht has a good resale value (toyotas/hondas) but not running or barely runing and preferably somthing tht is easy to fix n tht way u could have one of the guys at tht shop help u fix it n if u spend little money u can make $ good luck!!!

I had the same gen 4runner as that with a 22re in it. Mine was lifted with 33's and it could barely pull those on the road... that is not a 4cyl...
