  • This one is hands down the most incredible own goal I have ever seen. It's hard to imagine that there has ever been more of a beauty than this one. Lee Dixon truly wrote his place into football history on that day. Every striker in the world would be proud to have that shot on their highlight reel.

  • I see it inspired Jenkinson today. Comical and I'm a Gooner!

  • hahaaha best own goal ever.

  • What did Ian Wright say? Ronaldinho... and who?

  • @UnknownGenius01 naim...think thats how u spell it......arsenal vs zaragoza cup winners cup final...1995 i think....seman was lobbed from almost the half way line

u should check out the goal...i remember it well watching it live

  • @daedralord1

    Ahh thanks. I remember now.

  • truth is dixon is never out the bookies therefor made himself a few quid this day, i'm not an dixon fan the guy's a bellend takes himself far too seriose and i love it when alan hansen takes the piss out him, did anyone see his face when england got humped with germany and a very pleased hansen rubbed it right in ha ha fuckin right an all hee hee get it right round ya dicko!

  • @ahmedshaie who are you referring to?

  • To the person who posted this - are you a Spurs fan by any chance?

  • Best own goal I've ever seen.what on earth was he thinking?was the back pass rule even in place back then, cuz he should've known the keeper can't use his hands to stop that ball going into the net with his head???? A moment of craziness I guess.Lee nd David are both legends.wish we had em both now, especially seaman to replace both our current bananas we got in goal ;(

  • @yasmania2008 No, the back pass rule cam in in 1992, so it wasn't quite as bizarre that he should be trying to chip it up into the keeper's hands!

  • I was at this game, right behind the goal. I will never forget this goal! The silence in the North Bank was deafening!

  • That was a deft chip. One that even Henry would have been proud of. Can't pay him any higher compliment than that!

  • takes some luck to score an own goal, but to score an own goal from 30 yards lobbing your own keeper takes both courage and cooperation. Well done lads :)

  • Classic, Dicko will always be loved Arsenal fans.

  • The second guy in the video, who says "The famed Arsenal back four, drilled by George Graham never to make a mistake"..lol...gotta love his laugh.. :D

  • who is it? i recognise the voice

  • Yeah, sounds familiar, doesn't it? Just in case some result came up, I googled "drilled by george graham", and I got the first result as my own youtube comment..lol..

  • John Champion. ITV and Setanta Sports commentator

  • good finish!

  • Wat a goal!

  • they really should have put "David" between "lobbed" and "seamen".

  • Unbelievable, got the DVD of thsi but itsa one of them that gets better each time you see it

  • fergal hunter is a cunt

  • he hit that almost like a professional..

  • classic!

  • oh my god. words fail me.

  • cough cough.... 4-0!!!!

  • 4estglade, he didnt get lucky, cos curbishley managed to get into the books as THE FIRST TEAM TO BEAT ARSENAL AT THE EMIRATES. will laugh so hard if relegated.

  • lobbed seaman..... :/

  • Rosenthal... 'Chipolados Lee that is one of the greats.' LOL!

  • lolololololol

  • Jim Rosenthal ITV Sports presenter

  • Er...who was that last bloke who spoke? I think I've seen him on late night TV, what a plonker!

  • Well, that's what you get for trying to keep the ball in your own half for 90mins...

  • I was at this game. Coventry went on to win 2-1 with Peter Ndlovu making it 2-0 before Arsenal scrambled a late equaliser. Happy days. Almost as good as when Micky Quinn scored a hat-trick in a 3-0 win for Cov on the opening day of the season back at the end of the 90's.

  • "I'm probably Arsenals biggest fan"

    hahahaha hahahaha hahahaha

  • "i love Arsene Wenger"

    Hahaha Hahaha hahaha

  • Quality goal. I'm probably Arsenals biggest fan. Lee Dixon is a legend. West Ham got lucky at their 'stadium'. Pardew deserved to be punished. I love Arsene Wenger.

  • Technically, this is the best own goal of all time. But not the best... The best one was an own goal from behind the half way line! You can watch that video on Youtube own goal compilation

  • lol. Dixon is great. ARSENAL!

  • best own goal ever.

  • Excellent player, excellent goal - just a shame it was on his own goal!

  • brilliant goal. haha :(
