I've downloaded this emulator NULLDC and I would play Dreamcast university (where the computers have the Ubuntu Linux operating system), I downloaded the emulator with all the BIOS but it does not open even with Wine (I usually use the Wine emulator in the no$gba for Nintendo DS), you could tell me why this emulator is not opening in ubuntu or even pass the link on this version of the video? If so I am very grateful!
are u using the defualt plugins for null or did u have to download diff plugins or something to make it work with wine? I'm using windows vista x64 it works fine there but im thinking of switching over to ubuntu for fun and wanted to knw if it works cuz i love my emulators and dnt wana loose anyof them. i have tons of roms and wana keep them after i switch OS. :)
@satanicuser lol i hope you're joking. xbox hiccups at N64 emulation. the dreamcast was leaps and bounds more powerful than PSX/N64/Saturn. then you have to remember you'd be adding the additional stress of running a legitimate operating system wasting valuable ram (xbox only had 64 mb). plus you'd need at least a P4 2.4 Ghz about 512 mb of ram and an okay GPU to even hope to have fullspeed. a 733 Mhz P3 with 64 mb of ram (most of it in use) and a geforce 3 aren't enough.
@DaweyYT you could have just told him that ps3 otheros runs in a hypervisor which is a lot like virtualization, it has no real access to the GPU which is why it lags up, then add to that the fact that ps3 is based on PPC64 structure and nulldc is written for x86 processors and then that makes it even more impossible. to even run wine on ps3 because it's a PPC64, you'd need to emulation x86 hardware which uses a LOT of resources, even with all of the ps3 hardware it still wouldn't be enough.

There is a xbox emulator but it's extremely crippled right now. However, that's how they all start out

Sorry, but I'm afraid it will not work, see "Linux for PlayStation 3" article on Wikipedia for more information!
