I like this list a lot. I'm a big Lincecum fan, but I didn't have Greinke Haren or Carpenter because at the very beginning they were't awesome and Greinke started off awesome but in the past he wasn't the best so I thought it wasn't going to last

hmmmm lets see derek jeter owns 4 rings and 6 pennants he has been to the postseason every year except last year. We all know he is one of the greatest postseason players ever. He is the greatest interleague player ever im not going to even say those crazy numbers just against the mets could get him a Hall of Fame bid. He has been a 2 out RISP MONSTER over .400 in those most clutch situations he has 2 walkoff homers including one in game 4 of the 2001 WS.

Derek Jeter is the third fastest player to 2700 hits and if he stays on his current pace will break the old hit record close to a year younger than rose did. Meaning he will have a great chance to break the record. He is a career .317 hitter and has never batted under .291 in his career with only 3 full seasons out of 13 not including this year. As far as on base percentage he is near .390. he will end up with 500 doubles!?! and currently has 58 triples. and over 220 home runs.

Yeah your right he is doing pretty good but then look at Pujols numbers. Thats why he isn't in it but he is definetely a good infielder I just don't think he is in the top 5.

there are reasons he is an mvp candidate/frontrunner at 35 years old. He is a stellar defensive player and is one of the most baseball-smart players in the generation meaning he would watch where a pitch was being thrown and then shifted to being in the right position of likelihood where the player would hit it, and with great success he has the ability to judge ground balls better than most. He had 1 subpar year defensively last year. FLUKE. this year he is as good or better than ever.....

derek jeter has never batted in single digits in home runs and has hit as many as 24 in a year hitting at least 20 HRs 3 times 19 HRs twice he has 16 this year. From the leadoff role he is three leadoff homers from rickey henderson's record. He has over 1000 RBIs from the 1 and 2 hole. He is also closing in on 4000 total bases. He he just a couple of stolen bases away from 300.
