It's good that you are being positive but i think the world population you say NO more often. Say NO to Hypocrisy; Hate, Fear, War, Chaos, Corruption and Poverty. Say no to the Psychopaths who control this world!
That's a really good point. Now that I think about it, saying yes when I would have rather have said no, has usually ended up being a positive experience. ;)
Hey Andy, I live in Hastings, just found your page and like your videos, I appreciate the fact that you hardly cut/edit your footage with a 'take 1' approach. Keep up the good work!
I have always, no matter the consequences, and no matter how stupid my decision with hindsight, believed that I said 'yes' or 'no' because they were the only answers that me, myself, could possibly answer at the time. For whatever reason. So no matter where those decisions led me, I accepted the consequences with little regret. And in a world without psychos and nutters, I'd have been safe!!!
As my father said to me as a young and impressionable child: "If you are going to reach for the stars, reach for the lowest one you can." I've tried to live by those words. And failed

I totally agree that we do need to say "No" sometimes as well & those examples you gave are as good a reason to say "No" as i can think of.

That's good to hear. Keep on saying Yes :)

I said yes just a few times too many when I should have said no, but I was being overly optimistic...

We all make mistakes sometimes & i'm sure they are occasions when i should have said no as well.
But the times i've said yes & made the right decision outnumber them :)

Hi Alastair. it's good to see somebody else from Hastings on here. I often think i'm the only one.
Thanks for the nice coment.
I've just been watching some of your videos. Good stuff.

Thanks. I remember you commenting on it over there.
I'd forgotten all about it until i saw Mic (PaintedRavensong's) video the other day.

I think positivity mirrors itself back to you and the reverse does the same.
My glass is always full!

I think you're right there. Positivity breeds positivity.
My glass tends to be half full as well. it's the best way to be imho :)

You're completely right about this.

ba humbug say all us pessimists...... or is that pissymists?
Great to see ya doing the 5 optos...
I probably shouldn't have said yes a few times in the past he he he

I'm sure we'd all go back & change at least a few of our past decisions if we could. The art is keeping that number to a minimum :)

Yea I bet Tigger is there now... he he

LOL Yes, i bet he is :)

We always have the choice to be positive or to be negative. Excellent video Andy!

Thanks Russ. It's not always an easy choice though :)

Saying no can be hard sometimes too

A case of "you've made your bed, you've got to lie in it"?
I know what you mean. If a decision has been made, it's not often that we have a chance to change it.
if that happens, we just have to make the best of it :)

I know a few women I would like you to teach this lesson to :-)

There is an art to knowing when to say yes and when to say no. :-)

Agreed & it's an art we don't always get right :)

That reminds me of that Oscar Wilde quote "We are all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars" :)
andymooseman 2 years ago
Huh! I thought Crissy Hind of The Pretenders wrote that!
debstef 2 years ago
'Fraid not. the quote is way older than that.

Believe it or not, but the author, Danny Wallace is from my hometown of Dundee!

i just watched a video by one of them, diannehanks.she seems to me either extremely naive at best and at worse, borderline insane.

I can't pretend to like every video on that channel. But, the idea is certainly a very good one imho :)

hmmm...might be on to something there.
Used to be a YES woman, when I was young adult - ended up with no time for me or to be me...(had to learn how to say NO)
perhaps now, I've gone overboard with the NO...
Something to think about. ;)
NiteBlogger 2 years ago
I guess the answer is to try & get the proper balance between the "Yes" & "No" answers.
if in any doubt though, go for the "Yes" :)
