That opening scene is in fact, what made the movie, and Steven Seagal the star he is. Not to mention what it did for Aikido studios around the world. The patented 'iron palm' move was likely the 'deal closer' -
@dmmc7 its because of this scene i started aikido, sadly i couldnt stick with it though, broke bones in my foot and when it was time to return, the class has moved too far away, i guess they needed more room for students, the place was filling up fast, they didnt have much room when i was there, but i had a taste of it and now watching this makes me want to find another aikido club and join
in the very first steven seagal movie (nico) he plays the main role and there is something like short history of his characted based on reality. thats great entrance to the world of movies, isnt it. oh, and look at the cast; pam grier and sharon stone. needs just one more sentence; steve seagal at his best!
Beautiful. This is the opening scene in Seagal's first movie. The first time we see him. The music and the beautiful AIkido movements - perfect harmony. Right at this moment he peaks. Funny to think, he never peaks his first moment.

This film is actually a documentary of Steven Seagal's life. Just like the film JFK is what actually happened to JFK.

@Astoned11 Actually JFK has been debunked for years.

I wonder if Bruce Lee and Steven Seagal ever met each other? I know its a fanboys dream but the two in there primes would be a awesome fight.

Bunch of happy horseshit, but so far Segal has taught the front kick and jumping front kick to two professional MMA fighters into wins.
