Kawasaki Ninja EX500 with Muzzy Exhaust

I purchased this exact Muzzzy for my Ninja 500, and I am not able to connect the pipes to the threads...I think the head of the exhaust pipes are too thick, therefore the nut bolts are not able to fit...any suggestions?

great looking bike, you ought ot take off those stupid cargo hooks, the bike would look much better with out then and there are still loops under there you can use to hook bungies.

How much work did youhave to do to the carbs? was it just turning the screw??

I was wondering if you could give me a little more info on this exhaust. I'm building up a wrecked ninja 500 and I was wondering what kind of power increase did you get. From 1 to 10, 0 being none at all, 5 being what you expected, and 10 being the best you could have hoped for.

There's more restriction on the intake than the exhaust. Upgrade to pod filters first.

P.S. This is an EX250, not an EX500.

All the models from 1994 - Present have had the dual exhaust pipes. The exhaust in this video is an aftermarket item.

take off bellypan... detach all bolts/springs holding the exhaust on... install aftermarket then put the belly back on and rejet your carb

Do muzzy's really boost performance? or they just for sound.. I know the AreaP exaust on the 250 boost performance around 18% WOW... But Just want to know about the 500, beacuse thats what I plan on getting

There are no performance gains with the 500R and an aftermarket exhaust, regardless of brand. It sounds better, it elminates the twin-pipe config (less weight), and if you choose carbon fiber, it definitely looks better.

I think the ones you see are exhaust sliders. If i'm correct, frame sliders go towards the front.

wrong. frame sliders can be anywhere on the bike, they protect the frame. is a bike's frame only in the front? NOPE. those are rear sliders. front sliders are available for the ex500 but you have to mod the fairing.

strange, i used a ebay jet kit w/ stock settings and it worked perfect 1st try. Maybe I should fine-tune it but there is no dip anywhere in the powercurve & i can tell there is more HP in the upper rpm's.

I have the stainless oval btw, sounds the same.
