I'll be honest, despite its flaws Nemesis was a good movie and I think if people had taken the time to give it a chance it might have been a bigger hit than it was. Despite that, I thought this review was hilarious and he did hit on all the good points.
By the way, if Khan had in his posession a weapon with enough power to eliminate all life on a planet in the process of starting a new world, why didn't he just race as fast as he could to Earth and use Genesis on it, then deal with Kirk.

That shot of Janeway killing the girl in cold blood was from Voyager S4E23; It was in a 'historical' holodeck program that made it seem as though Voyager was a malevolent warship bent on destruction instead of exploration.
I'm probably going to sound like an enormous geek but I think Janeway, with all of her faults and questionable decisions throughout the series, deserves a little more recognition than just being locked up in prison.
One thing he should have mentioned about the ending was, why did they kill off Data only to have him brought back moments later in B-4? That completely ruined any impact his death had.
wait...there's only power for one person to teleport over? what about the teleporters in the shuttles? those don't share power with the enterpirse, right? so, have a bunch of security guys go the the shuttle bay and use those teleporters to beam over to shinzon's ship. and even if they only had enough power to teleport one person over, why not send a bomb instead of a person? obviously shinzon's shields are down so you could beam the bomb anywhere you wanted to....WHAT WRONG WITH YOUR FACE!?

It's about as plausible an explanation as the one in 'The Chase' mind you in that it DOES explain it but its a rather convenient excuse for a lacking SFX budget ;)

It's not so much budget there imo as much as it would get rather dull if 20 minutes of each episode was them learning to communicate ;) The episode about the 'humans with assorted funny ears populate the whole galaxy' thing btw is called 'The Chase' by the way (season 6 episode 20), its acutally a pretty good ep and a surprisingly plausible explanation for it all :P
I swear to God. I haven't had a pizza roll in like six years, I literally forgot they exist. There will always be spiteful people who will try to put someone down who`s good at what they do because they are simply jealous. That`s it. Hating someone because they`re good is stupid. They should be congratulated or even make others want t do even better - but not knock him down. Some people are just terrible like that. Best thing to do is just ignore them and let them stew.
This is funny & this guy does a good job of explaining why he doesn't like Nemesis. However, I'm sick of people acting like RedLetterMedia is Jesus & his opinion is the only one that matters. Sure, Nemesis has a lot of flaws & if those flaws kill the movie for you, that's fair, but there are other reviews by people who like this movie & have some good reasons for liking it. I never liked the very obvious mistake with "only enough power to transport one person"... well, ok. Use a cargo transporter... run down to the Captain's Yacht and use that transporter... or... there are about 100 shuttle craft with transporters in them, use one of those!

@amaone It was one of those episodes where they do an "alternate timeline" story & she was shown wearing black gloves while she zapped a lot of people.
@amaone The clip is from the episode "Living Witness". What you see here is footage from an alien museum 700 years in the future. The aliens in this episode believed that Voyager had committed atrocities against their race. The Doctor's program was discovered by the aliens early in the episode, and he tries to convince them that Voyager was actually a ship of peace.
Or you could say the Old Spock, new Kirk Spock and Nero conflict occurred on an entirely separate timeline and no change was made to the Classic series to the present. Only In the Classic series timeline there's no longer a Romulus and Vulcan remains intact.
Sadly to be accurate Star Trek 2009 made every previous Star Trek null and void. Apparently something had already altered the timeline before the very first scene in the 2009 Star Trek. I guess you can say all the time travel had an accumulated effect.

I remember a DS9 episode where they have Worf in a prison or something, and the bad guy is gloating and gets up in his face, and Worf just grabs him and snaps the dude's neck. I fell out of my chair laughing and rewound it like 19 times. What happened to THAT Worf, and why didn't they send HIM over? You nailed it on that one.
It's very simple, some people see the glass as half empty, some see it half full. I enjoyed the movies, there is merit in each and every Star Trek movie. Try focusing on the good parts instead of the bad and you might see what I mean.
In closing, I like Star Trek, all Star Trek. Some of the shows are better than others, some of the movies are better than others, but in general I like them all.
Could they have been better? Of course! Do you think you could have done better? Yes you say? Then GO OUT AND DO IT!!!!!! Because I would love to see another Trek movie.

I realize that the movies were not in the same style as the TV shows but the budget was also much larger, meaning they needed to appeal to a larger audience. The characters were put in situations to evoke strong emotional responses which may have been to the point of breaking character because the personalities on the show are much too bland for a wider audience.

I never liked the very obvious mistake with "only enough power to transport one person"... well, ok. Use a cargo transporter... run down to the Captain's Yacht and use that transporter... or... there are about 100 shuttle craft with transporters in them, use one of those!

@amaone The clip is from the episode "Living Witness". What you see here is footage from an alien museum 700 years in the future. The aliens in this episode believed that Voyager had committed atrocities against their race. The Doctor's program was discovered by the aliens early in the episode, and he tries to convince them that Voyager was actually a ship of peace.

Or you could say the Old Spock, new Kirk Spock and Nero conflict occurred on an entirely separate timeline and no change was made to the Classic series to the present. Only In the Classic series timeline there's no longer a Romulus and Vulcan remains intact.

Sadly to be accurate Star Trek 2009 made every previous Star Trek null and void. Apparently something had already altered the timeline before the very first scene in the 2009 Star Trek. I guess you can say all the time travel had an accumulated effect.

I remember a DS9 episode where they have Worf in a prison or something, and the bad guy is gloating and gets up in his face, and Worf just grabs him and snaps the dude's neck. I fell out of my chair laughing and rewound it like 19 times. What happened to THAT Worf, and why didn't they send HIM over? You nailed it on that one.

It's very simple, some people see the glass as half empty, some see it half full. I enjoyed the movies, there is merit in each and every Star Trek movie. Try focusing on the good parts instead of the bad and you might see what I mean.

In closing, I like Star Trek, all Star Trek. Some of the shows are better than others, some of the movies are better than others, but in general I like them all.
Could they have been better? Of course! Do you think you could have done better? Yes you say? Then GO OUT AND DO IT!!!!!! Because I would love to see another Trek movie.
But no, guys just want to jack off watching reruns of TOS because its so amazing and everything else sucks..... That's sarcasm if you didn't get it.

@bvrasp If you were truly a fan of Trek, you'd be annoyed that they turned the franchise into dumbed down action schlock in the movies. You're really NOT seeing the characters you loved again after the TV shows were over if they're being written grossly out of character.

@charlessunkyst I assure you, I'm a fan of Star Trek, although I've never dressed up as a Star Trek character.... I realize that the movies were not in the same style as the TV shows but the budget was also much larger, meaning they needed to appeal to a larger audience. The characters were put in situations to evoke strong emotional responses which may have been to the point of breaking character because the personalities on the show are much too bland for a wider audience.

I must be a real idiot because I actually wanted to see a movie based on DS9 and another based on Voyager. Nah, let's not do that... It will just ruin some kind of legacy because it wont be 100% perfect without continuity problems.
This reminds me of the guys who just love TOS and feel that TNG and all the rest are crap and taking away from the legend of Kirk and etc... And yet the watch every single episode just to complain about it, they "love to hate it".

Hmm.. I guess I'm the only one who actually likes Star Trek. Thanks for telling me how bad all these movies are... All this time I thought I was enjoying seeing some of my favorite characters back after the TV shows were over.
I agree with some of the things that bothered you, like the Argo, but most of your other complaints were reaching. By your standards, every movie in history probably sucks if you nit pick on every little thing.
