@jackaboonie The best solution is to talk to your local police department, and let them know that you own an airsoft gun, friends too. And ask the department if there is a location that would be appropriate for airsofting without disturbing a residential area, and where they would know that airsofting is taking place.

Hey just out of curiosity, what do you mean it's not good practice to have a minor handle a firearm? When I was 12 years old I handled my first firearm with supervision! The reason they are making this law is because of the fact that firearm SAFETY in your state is NEVER TAUGHT! You need to teach from a young age that firearms are tools. Not weapons. This is why in California you guys have some of the heaviest gun laws but yet look at your crime rates....Just a thought...

I saw him go up to a random guy who already had a person helping him and asked him the guns he was debating on and helped him make an informed decision.. Well, California is one of the most influential states in the United States, so basically, if SB798 passes, pretty much all of the other states will pass similar laws.

Second, how is purchasing an "imitation" firearm with a need of an authorized ID unconstitutional? It will only be unconstitutional if the store were to disallow you to purchase a "real" firearm without a proper reason in doing so.

he is in fact part of the SC ARNG. He's a tanker, and he was in the first Gulf War, OIF, OEF, and Kosovo - he's a lot older than he looks. You can be a SPC in the Guard for a long time, they don't kick you out like active duty, and a lot of E4s get screwed out of promotions because active duty E5s come to the Guard to avoid IRR and take all the E5 slots - I know because I have been an E4 (P) since 2004.
@docrock184 so you are saying that he is at least 37 years old. to have serviced and earned a KLM(SA) he would have had to been through school and deployed prior to 1991. you may have been a e4 for 7 years but its hard to believe with all the other evidence that hes an e4 after 17 years.
@mranalog A lot of guys came back after huge breaks in service after 9/11 and Operation Iraqi Freedom. My PLT just got a guy who got out in 2000 but came back in because he heard our company was deploying. I can guarantee you 100% this guy is legit because without getting into too much PERSEC I found him on AKO. My company is at 200% strength for E5s, in the years I've been there I've only seen THREE people promoted to E5, the rest get stuck at E4 forever. Its a crappy system.

I saw him go up to a random guy who already had a person helping him and asked him the guns he was debating on and helped him make an informed decision.. He really has commitment he was helping every person in the store and that's true costumer service!!!

what if a bad guy paints his real gun pink? are cops going to disregard that? or are they going to treat it like a real gun? IT DOESN'T MATTER THE COLOR. LAW ENFORCEMENT WILL STILL NEED TO TREAT EVERY GUN AS IF IT WERE REAL. so if they were all black, more precautions would be taken

@blackhawk8927 well if u were to look on evike's online store or the regualr walk-in store, they have airsoft guns that are used for training programs which are around $1000 so if they make it allowed in government programs, they have to get the guns from somewhere

@animeguyXL2 i agree. im going to give barnhill the benefit of the doubt, but something does however seem off. if you watched the video on the fake military veteran 911 survivor, youll now know that credential and pictures and a stack of ribbons on your chest doesnt necessarily mean service time. i really do hope everything checks out with this guy but even so, someone in his chain of command needs to have a talk with him.

I mean like in the boy's situation with the police and he refused to drop the gun when warned by the police, that's the natural reaction for a cop is to use less lethal or lethal force on a person that does not comply to the authority and can endanger the community or people around him/her. Now put this in perspective, what if the boy had a chainsaw and refused to drop it when warned by the police? @GVMeNProDucTionS First off, license as in ID and there's a law where it states that you need to be at least 18 or older due to SAFETY reasons. Second, how is purchasing an "imitation" firearm with a need of an authorized ID unconstitutional? It will only be unconstitutional if the store were to disallow you to purchase a "real" firearm without a proper reason in doing so.

he is in fact part of the SC ARNG. He's a tanker, and he was in the first Gulf War, OIF, OEF, and Kosovo - he's a lot older than he looks. You can be a SPC in the Guard for a long time, they don't kick you out like active duty, and a lot of E4s get screwed out of promotions because active duty E5s come to the Guard to avoid IRR and take all the E5 slots - I know because I have been an E4 (P) since 2004.

@docrock184 so you are saying that he is at least 37 years old. to have serviced and earned a KLM(SA) he would have had to been through school and deployed prior to 1991. you may have been a e4 for 7 years but its hard to believe with all the other evidence that hes an e4 after 17 years.

@mranalog A lot of guys came back after huge breaks in service after 9/11 and Operation Iraqi Freedom. My PLT just got a guy who got out in 2000 but came back in because he heard our company was deploying. I can guarantee you 100% this guy is legit because without getting into too much PERSEC I found him on AKO. My company is at 200% strength for E5s, in the years I've been there I've only seen THREE people promoted to E5, the rest get stuck at E4 forever. Its a crappy system.
