@redsommer You probably don't care about this anymore but the glock pistol is a RAM Combat, the M-4' are called the RAM 1R, the AK-47's are called RAM47, the MP 5 is called a RAM 11S, and the Desert Eagle is the Magnum Research Desert Eagle. They also make P99's called obviously the P99, and a Sig Sauer P226 called the RAM X50.

.43 caliber isnt paintball...its airsoft with paint filled bb's. they do not hurt, at all.

@mattyisbest No it is not. 0.43 is about twice the size of an Airsoft bb (standard 6mm).

If you want something that hurts go with BDSM. If you want to have fun with semi-realistic toys go with airsoft, with the correct peers and a good GBB or the new line of TM guns you can even use it as a training drill. Let paintball be what it's meant to be, competitive speed-ball/x-ball.

Just got myself a RAM pistol the other day and another drawback (besides some fields not allowing .43 cal, mine does) is lack of availability for magazines. I bought mine off of milsig.ca but they won't have any more magazines in for the pistol in a while.

Still, the gun looks,feels and shoots amazing.

I'm thinkin' I would like something that can 1) provide entertainment value in the field, 2) serve as a useful prop in case I decide to make movies with my friends, and 3) look badass overall. What have you heard about the RAM pistols? I might get a P99 simply because it looks cool, would be good in a movie, and so I can shoot stuff in my yard (plus, I won't be 21 for another two years).

Only thing is, I get that idea that while an airsoft pellet might sting at high speeds, a paintball still has more "punch" by virtue of its size, so I'm really leaning toward paintball. But whatever is more realistic. It's not like I can get Simunitions, or anything. Only military, law enforcement, and private military trainers can get those. >.>

@i76sin not much faster, maybe 350 to 450 feet per second,.paintballs are all roughly the same They only difference being how much impact energy difference between the,, heavier the round, the harder it hits at the same speed.. .43cal is 3/5 the size of paintball. chances are I wouldn't even feel the hit off a rap4 marker thats been renamed a "ram" marker.. rap4 is 99% for military and inforcement training :-\ they were never meant to compete vs paintball guns.
