  • This is one of the few hip hop groups that is strong enough to bring tears with impression. A masterpiece at its time and it's a shame that they didn't earn the full recognition they deserved.

  • Dear God, Whatever it is I do I'm only thinking of you, I hope you look at me through patient eyes. I truly miss PM Dawn!

  • These guys are so talented and deserve so much more attention. Got me through a very lonely time in my life. I wish I could thank them personally and tell them how much I love them. God Bless PM Dawn, don't know where they are now but they will always in my heart and my soul.

  • Ahead of their time. I was in the fourth grade when this song dropped. Now im 25 yrs old and listening to it brings back some great memories man. Im glad I grew up in the 90s.

  • Oohhh they sampled Father Figure! Cool, I like it. :)

  • Came out the year I was in 8th grade. Good times.

  • oh my god!!! I was 8. water baloons with other kids from the neighborhood. my friends older sister had this pumping out of their parents car really loud. I thought she was so cool!

  • this is intelligent poetry ..and music need more of this kind of sounds and words today

  • XM SATELLITE RADIO DOES ON THE 90'S FREAKING AWESOME MAN IN THE CAR

  • I love this song, and P.M. Dawn and don't care who knows it!

  • This was another good one :o)

  • i agree with ff2832 :)

  • Memoriessssss. Wow hella classic

  • Memories.

  • @sekouche Obvious troll is obvious.

ps your mother sucks cocks in hell.

  • one of all time favs ,classic

  • PM Dawn, you're truly unique. At such tender ages in the early ninenties, you were still able pull off such in-depth lyrics. I just wonder how good you would be today. Surely you can give us more joy .

  • @mcshafrey I agree so much. I have yet to meet another PM Dawn fan in my real life. I still have the old CDs in my car I listen to. All my friends use to say PM Dawn reminded them of me- cause I was the only one who listened to them and they all realized how good they were. "I'd Die Without You" is one of the best songs I ever heard next to Ray Charles "Georgia" and Bill Withers "Aint no Sunshine". =)

  • Man, great talent! Where the did time go? Thank you for posting, I miss that time soooo much. Life was so simple then.

  • I Love YOUOOOOO...

  • Music!!!!

  • Brings back so many memories.

  • My...Jam!!!!....Cathy Dennis sang the background? wow, I've always liked her voice!

  • Dope.

  • As a product of the eighties, I would have to say, these guys were best able to take great elements of eighties music, and put it into the nineties, and make it entertaining.

  • I freaking love this shit! Their lyrics are so deep. My man said I left reality early. Are you kidding me?

  • Hold on this was when I was in second year? Whoa long time ago....

  • reason, raisins, tamato, tamaato, its all in you how you hear it,its all do to the lack of,booty,or love,resun.......

  • Open up your mind. =)

  • Cathy Dennis sings backup in this song...always loved this :)

  • oh crap that is her! I never noticed that!

  • the backup vocals were my favorite in this song!...Didnt know it was Cathy Dennis.

  • He had the answers to all his questions but because he interpreted it with reasons not the love he never felt from and became "impatient". As the saying goes that the heart has reasons of its own which reason do not know..... " but if I'm wrong then show me if i'm wrong.. Raisins hehehe."

  • "I misconstrued my answers, due to the lack of love, RAISINS!"

  • Comment removed

  • REASON!!!! LOL!!!!!

  • Snoopsie...you really need to listen more carefully and take in mind the context of the lyrics! Reason? Ha!!!!

  • XD you're too much! lol

  • I have been holding firmly to this interpretation since I was 12...16 years ago! Even if you are trying to prove to me the Earth isn't flat, I will take a stand for what I hold so dearly to! You've misconstrued your lyrics, due to the lack of love...RAISINS!

  • You think your so right Snoopsie! But if I'm wrong then show me I'm wrong!...RAISINS!................raisins....

  • LOL!

  • isnt this song sampled from a george michel song?

  • correct me if i'm wrong but did they do a sampling of George michael's father figure? i'm sort of hearing GM's voice in the background

  • Yeah they did

  • yes they did sample from "Father Figure".....also if you listen to "Set Adrift on Memory Bliss of You" they sampled from Spandau Ballet's song "True"........

  • thanks layne!

  • a turbulent one sheds a turbulent tear..

  • hey everybody, i was in highschool when this song came out..this song led me and my friends to form a dance group. that was fun, this song brings out a lot of memries.

  • favorite song of alltime

  • I need to groove with this song... I wished I can find a club that this song now, sadly none.

  • They probably cranked this in the clubs around the early 90's when pm dawn was big.

Clubs don't really play old school like that. Even though most of the best music is from back in the day.

  • @hellraiza81 Last 10 yrs seems like it all techno/rave stuff if you actually go to a popular dance club. Look for the white visors.

  • @hellraiza81 -I would beg to differ. Depends on the clubs you frequent or the crowd. I saw P.M Dawn in a Charlotte Club in 2005 and everyone their got down to this and loved it.

  • PM Dawn - Most Requested streets on Oct 28th.

    both good songs

  • FATHER FIGURE...omg!

    I love both songs

  • Crank it up.thanks for the memories

  • I came up in the 80's/90's, which means I was about a freshman or sophmore in highschool when this was out.....man what times those were then, I always think of the beautiful Middle Eastern girl I was going with back then, and all my friends running with us. Damn those were the days

  • Hey! Thanks for uploading this song! i really it even i was a kid... and luckily i can download it... just the audio that i can put into my player!

  • Thanks for posting this-it is a very beautiful and deep song!

  • they understood what evaded the rest.

  • Not only does this song sample my all time fave track (FATHER FIGURE) by my all time fave artist (GEORGE MICHAEL), but another great artist (CATHY DENNIS) sings back up vocals. A winning combo!

  • First of all I am a HUGE fan of George Michael and "Father Figure" (I still listen to it in heavy rotation). I am a fan of PM Dawn and thought this song was beautiful. This group was awesome but "on another level". You have to think (and feel) outside of the box to really get them!!! A talent duo but they never saw mainstream success and that is so unfortunate because I was a fan. Also, I love there song "Die Without You". Yep, I'm listening to that one next (lol)!

  • I actually like being part of a very small group who felt and understood their music. It moves me all of these years later. Thank you for giving it to us.

  • Im shock how good their stuff is..I just heard samples of all their music..Wow!

  • i can listen to this song over and over again..i love his voice!!!!!

  • Excellent video; great job!!

  • i first heard this song on the radio and i quickly fell in love, actually it was a very sad day for me because a close family friend passed away. At the time didn't know the name of the song, but it had a father figure sound( another favorite song of mine). The song completely had me lost in thought that day. It sounds very spiritual i think.
