Horse back ridding is not a spot. No its not. You know what it is? A friendship between horse and ridder. The horse has to be your best friend, you have to trust each other. You fall, you get up and do it it all over agian. I wouldn't trade my horse for all the money in the world.
im all up for the other things but the horse sweats more than we do so there for its more of a sport for the horse. its still a sport but u know what i mean

I've just learned about horses, and just started riding last August. Let me tell you, it's easy to befriend horses(if you're an animal person) but riding can be a totally different story.
Equestrian is not a sport, when you don't care about the team mate, just look who enter competitions, double reins, whips, spurs, that look like a torture instrument from the middelage a bit so big it would scare most away, bleeding tounges, neck damage, leg damages It is animal abuse, Equestrian is a sport when you treath your horse, like a team mate ride with normal reigns soft bit no whip no spurs, don't pull reigns loose nose band or ride biteless. It is appalling that you don't fight for it
@dearnapst I agree that there people like that, that treat their horses like crap. And trust me, I hate nothing more than seeing that but you can't judge equestrians as whole by those individuals. There are plenty of people (myself included) that do only treat their horses with respect.

I think it's hilarious, the amount of friends who come down my yard to watch me ride and then say that they could do what I'm doing. They are my friends, and they don't know horses and I'm pretty sure they don't mean to be nasty. They could no way do the kinda things I do with my horses! @jeannabieber well actually they have made airvests for eventers in cross country (point2 airvests, named because they inflate in .2 seconds), and eventers are required to wear a vest during schooling and showing. it's pretty true though. we have to wear medical armbands AND have to have an ambulance ON COURSE before we can start!

It's a great video with a great message, it's a pity I can't read the tiny black handwriting that is showing and it disappears when I'm about to try decipher/read it. I believe you should had stuck with the original font to make it easy for everyone to read. That was the only downside I could see here, but nonetheless it's a great video and many misunderstands us equestrians.

People don't realize that horseback riding takes courage, strength, balance, trust, and above it all unbelievable passion! I get told but so many people that it's not and will never be a sport, but not only do you have to love what you do, you also have to be able to bond with your horse and trust and believe in them! So I have to say this video shows the beautiful bonds formed, strength for both horse and rider and above everything it shows the undying love and passion we have for our sport!
I LOVE the fact you havent just included the 'usual' disciplines everyone on YT tends to include (SJ, XC and Dressage). I don't do it myself, but i'm glad you included reining, vaulting and gyma=nastics too! This is thee best version of this i shave ever seen!<3
The bit where they do the headstand....It's called Vaulting, and I am very proud to say I am part of that world, where we trust our lives to the horse. If the horse spooked while we were back-flipping, things would turn very bad indeed. We trust out lives to these majestic animals, and the bond between us is very strong indeed. When people call it easy, I just show them a clip of my vaulting team. That shuts 'em up sharpish.
this is relly touching. my bff's hobby is equestrian and many of my good friends are. i don't love or hate horses, i'm afraid of them but that doesn't say i can't love this video.

It's amazing, it shows what all of us (riders) are, what we do, and what many people think of us, they think that we do nothing, that the only thing we do is sit in the saddle (as you said) and turn the horse, but can not imagine all the difficulties we face, all the fears that we won, all we have to endure without complaint, because we are strong, falls, defeat, problems, insecurity, the challenges... we have our reward, but this requires effort.

I LOVE the fact you havent just included the 'usual' disciplines everyone on YT tends to include (SJ, XC and Dressage). I don't do it myself, but i'm glad you included reining, vaulting and gyma=nastics too! This is thee best version of this i shave ever seen!<3

The bit where they do the headstand....It's called Vaulting, and I am very proud to say I am part of that world, where we trust our lives to the horse. If the horse spooked while we were back-flipping, things would turn very bad indeed. We trust out lives to these majestic animals, and the bond between us is very strong indeed. When people call it easy, I just show them a clip of my vaulting team. That shuts 'em up sharpish.

this is relly touching. my bff's hobby is equestrian and many of my good friends are. i don't love or hate horses, i'm afraid of them but that doesn't say i can't love this video.

I loved it. Great job. But can I say this? I might have been just me, but I had a hard time reading the last half. Where you were listing what really goes into equestrian. Does that make sense. I think it was the black on black?

this is so true!!!!!!!my friend went riding 1 time and told me she was a natural rider!!!!that it was really EASY to controle a bucking horse when your on a horse for the first time!!!!!!shes like you just need balance its easy to sit there and ride!!!!!!it pissed me of DX

OMG this is so epic! this is really gorgeous and just perfect in everyway! I'm so going to show this to my classmates they are those people who think horse riders are just lazy asses only sitting in a saddle and that it isn't a sport!

Seriously. If you have a problem with a comment or want to say something that would hurt the maker of this videos feelings, don't I HATE seeing these awesome videos and reading some assholes comment about how this isn't a sport people who ride are stupid and its not dangerous. A girl at my stable was thrown straight into a heavy wooden jump when her horse stopped milliseconds before jumping. And I know people at my old barn who were trampled and injured. It's extremely dangerous. Plus... If it

Well the thing that people don't understand is that when you play football or you go skii or whatever you do, you are completly in charge, face it the skii's are not gong to throw you off because they got scared.. I would really like the soundtrack to this song I can't find it anywhere I want to buy it so I can use it but its no where everyone has a youtube video but no where to purchase this soundtrack!!!! I loved your video!! It's amazing, it shows what all of us (riders) are, what we do, and what many people think of us, they think that we do nothing, that the only thing we do is sit in the saddle (as you said) and turn the horse, but can not imagine all the difficulties we face, all the fears that we won, all we have to endure without complaint, because we are strong, falls, defeat, problems, insecurity, the challenges... we have our reward, but this requires effort.
