I remember Granada Carlton Meridian Thames Anglia Yorkshire and LWT...we were living in romford (london/essex) Was that first logo after TVARK one of those, it was so familiar, when did ITV 2 come out?

The 1st ident was that of Scottish Television & ITV2 launched on 6th December 1998 I think.

Scottish? hmm. Was ITV2 first broadcast on SKY or did freeveiw exist at that time?

Also UTV looks alot similar to ITV and some of the other UTV idents ive seen look like the current ITV, is there any link between them

I don't think there is a link between the 2 companies apart from the fact that they both broadcast on channel 3. UTV is one of the few remaining independant ITV franchises, so I doubt there is a link.

@Woshmistro Freeview didn't exist at this time. It was made after ITV Digital collapse.
