You put star wars in the tags, there's no description, and the title says Darth in it, so I'm just gonna go out on a limb here and say, WHAT IS THIS?! (Press 1 for Tomorrowpeople, 2 for something else you randomly added in the tags)
Got to love that body paint on Prowse. He should have shown up in that in an outtake in Star Wars, just to see what the reactions are from the other actors.
That's why actors have a harder job than people think... You gotta be on the ball, and when funny shit happens like that... you have to remain composed and not laugh, like i'm sure his co-hosts really wanted to do :P
doubt they missed it in the editing, they really go through with fine tooth comb, they probably decided to keep it in for a blooper or to try and make the scene look abit more real *shrugs*
They didn't do much editing in those days and these were shot almost live with multiple cameras and rarely stop for retakes due to minimal time available in the studio. Seriously low budget.
I love the way that immediately after hitting his head, he glances over the camera (presumably towards the director) and then straight up at the cage all in a split second! Credit to him for carrying on as if nothing had happened (very professional), but just another example to me of how cheap the BBC were in those days. It's so embarrassing they didn't reshoot that scene :(
And Hotblack Desiato's bodyguard in the BBC adaptation of H2G2. And Darth Vader, though probably everyone already knew that. And the green cross code man. And god knows what else.
I see why you called this video Darth hits his head. It's the actor who played him. I went to Comic Con a few years ago and bought a Darth Vader light saber. He was their signing autographs, but you had to pay for an aughtograph. I wanted him to sign the box, but I spent all my money.
This was and still is one of my fave episodes and I can remember exactly where I was the first time I saw it. I own this DVD now but I love seeing it online. Thank you!
And yea the 70s verison ROCKED!!! They were and still are MUCH MUCH MUCH better than the later 90s version. Still to each his own I suppose.
Yep. I watched the show, when I was a pre-teen in the late 70s and thought it was great. Advances in FX technology won't make me forget the joy of watching it when it was new.
I think this one has more personality than the american version- perhapd I am biased because I grew up on watching Nickelodeon in the early 80's. Trivia- the music was written by the guy who did incidental music for Dr. Who- watching the episodes again, it's clearly a poor man's kid version of Dr. Who, with a lower budget (that's why I posted the video in the first place!)

Don't you love how half of everyone doesn't read the description and expects this to be Star Wars?
Anyway, I thought it was kind of neat that they kept that in and the characters didn't think anything of it.

Ummm, the silver guy hits his head.
schmeep 3 years ago 10
I saw it. When he picks up the girl. Maybe:
1) You shouldn't say Darth because I doubt that is his name and just like me, not many people have seen this show, or movie.
2) Make a bubble showing the silver guy hitting his head.
Chsel88 3 years ago
Okay never mind, just say David Prowse instead of Darth. I'm not a huge star wars geek and it can confuse the average joe.

what does this have to do with star wars
