  • Why the hell are you talking that way? Obnoxious...

  • The pace is just fine. It allows you to reflect on what you are saying.

  • This voice and choice of words makes me think about what kind of retard I must be to need an explanation video for a concept that SOUNDS like something 4 year olds learn.

  • thank you soooo much. you are really good... i understand now!!!

  • Great explanation! Exactly what i needed to understand the subject to it's deepest levels.. & i really liked your voice and pace :D

  • judging fro your talking speed, i guess you haven't had anything to eat for the past 7 years. next time, try a RedBull before your Oscar Speech ;)

  • I must be the only one who loves your voice!

  • Oh my fock, no way is this to slow, it's perfect for me and you are saving my grade!!

  • Honestly, if he talks too slow, go view a different stats video.

I for one am trying to learn this stuff for the first time, and its lot to take in, so I prefer the slower pace. Thank you for this video! Its a big help. I'm taking Stats online, which was a mistake. Therefore, youtube has become my Stats teacher.

  • JEEEEESSSSUSSSS CHRRRRIIIISSSSTTT. CAAAAAN YOOOOUUUU TAAAALLLLKKK ANNNNY MOOOOOORRREEEE SLLLLLOOOOWWWLLLLYYYY?

  • I hate your voice. So much.

  • Yeah, I know, its pace is too slow for a lot of people. That's why I created a new updated one that is not only "more normally paced", but is more thorough in its explanations. I just put it up a couple weeks ago:

Hairy Larry Explains Confidence Intervals - Movie #1 of 5

    Larry Shrewsbury

  • i don't care how good your explanation is, i stopped the video after 19 secs due to the paaaaaccccce offfff yyyooooourrrrr vvvvoooooiiiiccceeee

  • thanks pops!

  • He should use his voice in cartoons. Sounds like the Joker except a child-friendly one.

  • Thank you! Very much!!!

Yes, I needed to get used to the slow voice, but it helped me COMPREHEND the concept and the procedure.

and to all you guys who thought it was toooo sloooow: I am happy for you that you have such a quick understanding of this. Some of us don't and it is great to find an instructor willing and patient enough to help US to get it.

    Thanks again!!

  • This guy explains this as if everyone in the world is retarded.

  • 6:32 Sureee you areee!!!! oooooomyyyyyy

  • This is really helpful but oh my dear god, this video is painfully slow.

  • nice one mate, pretty good info. i wish i had found this video earlier

changing the subject tho, its nice that you were teaching really taking your time but it just made me realize that american accent sounds even worse when they speak it slowly lol no offense..

  • This guy is an incredible teacher. Stop the trash talking and say thank you. Thank you:)

  • your so bad, and so slow, omg. Thanks for trying to help, but you olny wasted my time

  • genius.....pure genius...

  • that is "bad"

  • dude speak faster

  • Omg your voice makes it imposible to focus

  • wow you cannot pronounce "error"

  • 5:40 "THAT'S BAD!!" lolll

  • This sounds like a mix between Gilbert Godfrey and Mr. Rodgers...

  • your voice.. just.. AGHHHHH. I'm not a child

  • @TheCheeseFetish be humble when learning. Cut the pride...

  • @82tomify I am definitely not the only one who thinks that the voice in the video should be faster. I couldn't watch the full video because I felt like I was being taught by my third grade math teacher again. I think anyone who is curious of Confidence Intervals would feel that they are above third grade. If at any part a person needs the video to be slow, there is a pause button, and it can be played back.

  • @TheCheeseFetish "Aren't you glad it only happens 2.5% of the time!?" HAHAHA

  • This is good information you're talking as though we don't understand English.

  • u have an annoying voice

  • catch every fish in the lake and kill it in the process, most likely

  • shhhhtraaaadddleeeddd

  • please change the voice of the person talking!! i couldn't focus!!

  • great video keep em coming

  • Thanks for the video !

  • I believe the standard error calculation is incorrect. 2.25 / 6 = .375 not .373.

  • Thanks for catching that! I have now "patched" the movie by pasting your correction over my wrong answer.

  • @MassiveLoop Aren't you glad this only happens only 2.5% of the time? I sure am!

  • if we don;t knowwhat the population mean is then how would we know what the standard deviation is for population is..?

  • Here's the reason: It is easier for students to first learn Confidence Intervals this way (and there actually are a few real-life situations where the population standard deviation is known but the population mean is not). Then after you have learned the fundamentals of confidence intervals, then we teach about the t-distribution, which is what you use instead of the z-distribution when the population standard deviation is unknown (and so we use the sample standard deviation).

  • Seriously, THE video that really helped me with Confidence Intervals! Thanks!

  • AMAZING VIDEO! The best explanation on the Internet! Extremely detailed and clear! Thank you!

  • boring...
