@pinkamos I've never actually stayed overnight so wouldn't know. I don't imagine it would be much more unsafe then most areas of London. Depends how far outside of the touristy area you go during the night time especially. It's certainly safe in the day as it can get very overcrowded and there's sometimes police potrolling areas. But again, I'm not really an expert on the subject.

They're unsafe areas everywhere though and in all coutnries so it's always best to do your research first. :)
