  • How do you mask in Hitfilm Standard? (Sorry I sound like a noob)

  • @cpPaulnash Check out our Getting Started playlist, there's a masking tutorial there. :)

  • love the invisible effect but what I also like and would like to emulate is the coloring you guys did on Simon in the intro

  • 8:25 looks like something out of tron

  • I love this programm!

  • i cant open Hitfilm. It said I need True color for 32bit.

  • how do i do the grid (or any other effect) on standard?

  • can you do one for cloning?

  • IS THIS FOR MAC OSX????

  • @Christofferelias Windows only for now, sorry.

  • @FXhomeHitFilm I hobe that you will make it for mac :) That program is so cool :) I have Effectslab Pro and Compositelab Pro for mac. But I think that Hitfilms Ultimate is better...

  • @Christofferelias get a pc,there better

  • Hi, I’m making some movies and I need to buy a new video camera with a really good definition could you help me indicating me a good one? Something under a 1000 Dollars. Thx

  • I have two questions:

    1. Can you please do a CG Deus Ex arm?

    2. Can you buy HitFilm in stores?

  • can you do this in after effects cs5?

  • @avesor ofcourse you can ^^

  • How did you do it without the green screen?

  • racist :)

  • Very nice effect really awsome to see the power of hitfilm. I an really considering buying the software. Only i have a short qeustion coupes you guus do a muzzle flash tutorial? I am really intrested in how good the soft ware can handel those things as well.

    Keep up the good work

  • Can this be done in HitFilms standard?

  • @FunFasit The core invisibility effect using the displacement effect can be done in HitFilm Standard. Some of the additional detail such as creating the grid can't be done as easily.

  • @FXhomeHitFilm Okay, thanks for the answer, I'm still wondering which one of the versions I want to buy for my movie project ;)

  • Is this program coming out for MAC as well?

  • do u need a green screen for this or not?

  • @wittstar1 The key thing is to have your subject isolated, and to have a clean background. How you achieve this is up to you - a greenscreen will certainly make it quicker and easier, as in the tutorial. The shot of Simon on the sofa, however, was achieved without a greenscreen, using only masks.

  • Could you do a star trek transporter tutorial (tng) or have you already done one?

  • Ccoooooooeeewl

  • Could you do a tutorial on the doctor who regeneration and tardis materialising too?

  • I've got a problem, whenever I add the mask as it says at around 1:30, everything goes black until i remove the mask, I've set the mask to add to the shot and everything else has been set correctly, any ideas as to whats happening?

  • @CA666SS777 The default mask settings should work exactly as in the video. Are you changing any of the settings?

  • @FXhomeHitFilm Unfortunately I'm not, I can't seem to figure out why it would do this, any help would be appreciated, although it seems it may be helpless

  • @CA666SS777 Do you have the latest drivers for your graphics cards?

  • @FXhomeHitFilm Apparently, I didn't. Thanks so much for your help with this, and sorry for the ignorance.

  • Really nice professional tutorial, very easy to follow. I thought it did a good job of showing the power and possibilities with Hitfilm

  • This is amazing. Looking forward to making some cool videoes with this. I whould have never figured this out on my own so thanks for the tutorial

  • Will you ever have a sale on Hit Film Ultimate?

  • @AgentNickyPickles HitFilm has only been available for a couple of months, so we don't have any plans to put it on sale anytime soon. Until the end of August you might be able to find one of the veteran FXhomer vouchers, though, which can give up to 40% off.

  • Can you make a tutorial on how to make a video with this invisibility effect cuz I can't figure out how to do it without having to stand infront of a green screen. I'm a bit of a beginner in this area and would like to know how to make the invisibility effect without a green screen (because I guess you dont have to walk around with a green screen behind you while shooting the film?) Would appreciate an answer not to mention a tutorial :D Thanks for this tutorial tho, it was very useful!

  • @MrRotner If you're not using a greenscreen you need to make sure you shoot a 'clean' plate of the shot without the actor - this will be your . Then you mask out the actor from the other shot so that he's isolated on a layer, and then you're at the same point as in the tutorial after removing the greenscreen.

That's how I did the invisibility for when I was sitting on the sofa. Hope that helps!

  • I gonna buy Hit Film if you guys keep doing those Tutorials. Thats pretty cool.:)

  • Please provide us with the stock footage too when doing the tutorials because some of us just doesn't have the material to follow =/

  • @Margalus89 We'll see if we can upload the greenscreen clip so that you can experiment!

  • @Margalus89 We've uploaded the clip. Watch the video at 1:00 for the link!

  • @FXhomeHitFilm oh sorry didn't check the whole tut yet. You're the best :)

  • I love the detail of your tut. great stuff. keep up the good work.

  • WALL-E!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Very cool! I'm considering buying HitFilm very soon. Do you think it would be easy for someone who is used to After Effects to transition over to HitFilm and get used to the interface fast?

  • @ContraParadox If you can learn After Effects you should have no big problem learning Hitfilm. I was doing tutorials about a week after I bought Hitfilm.

  • @RodyPolis I was asking if we already know AAE (which I do :p), if it was similar. I just downloaded the demo, but a lot of the features are disabled so I can't really compare. But it was very easy to find everything! One big feature that's missing in the demo though is keyframes! I can't do too much without it :(

  • @ContraParadox Keyframes are in the demo since the demo is fully functioning.

  • @RodyPolis Oh, I didn't realize that you had to go to composite shot first. Thanks! If the demo is fully functioning, what's the difference if I buy it?

  • @ContraParadox The demo can only export to youtube at SD resolution.

  • @RodyPolis Oh okay, thanks for all the help! I'm going to experiment with it a bit

  • Awesome

  • REALLY COOL GUYS...us HP touchSmart users miss u...so very much. Funny Americans on YouTube

  • take a look at JC Denton's name, the guy from the first game, and then look at Adam Jensen: JC - Jensen Clone

now i gave you a tiny dose of mindfuck

  • are you guys planning to make a mac version of hitfilm?

  • if this is slowing your computer down whats it going to do to mine?

  • could you do a tutorial on the doctor who regeneration effect? :D

  • @AStickManProductions We did notice that the accidental effect at about 16:00 kinda looks a bit like the regeneration effect. :P We'll look into it!

  • @FXhomeHitFilm thats exactly what made me ask! However I'm sure its a lot more complicated than that at 16:00 :P

  • every single tutorial i watch makes me want hit film even more

  • sick man :)

  • I would love this if it came out on mac

  • I like this so much, to bad it isn't for mac :\

  • Better start saving up.
