My family name is of welsh origin. Sian james brings me to tears ever since I first heard her sing Ei Di'r Deryn Du. I don't speak welsh, I lament that my branch of the family has lost its ancestral tongue. I feel it's a part of me and I feel connected with it even if I can't understand a word.
