Around 8 minutes you said "What can we do?" The rope on the top of the screen can be grabbed, and you can stand on it. The only way is wall jump though. You could also wall jump over the entire robot (or through it, for damage).

Player 2 lost 20 vitality when he flew off the screen. It's a known glitch.

Player 2's weapon is better. While Player 1's weapon is more powerful, often times there are distraction targets on the screen, so he won't hit anything. Player 2's weapon will be divided amongst all targets on the screen.
