I loved this. I did a speech on Hardcore Punk, myself. Where many genres like "emo" inspire scene kids.
Your descriptions were great. You should also explain the origin of it and what those genres you mentioned.Your voice was good. Do you hang around scene kids? See them at shows? Mentioning that would give you some credibility. But the whole thing was very informative and accurate according to my own knowledge of them. Try to avoid fillers: um, uh, err. It'll even out your flow.

I chose to write my speech about scene kids because it was an easy topic and the rest of the class (including the teacher) didn't know much about the group. Therefore, when grading, the information I gave could not be considered "wrong" because it was not a well-known subject. I was able to give mildly opinionated information and not be penalized. Plus, when given the choice to talk about ANY subject I wanted, I'd rather discuss something fun than something boring.

1) PRACTICE THE SPEECH. I didn't practice at all for this, and it hurt me in the end (grade-wise).
2) That seems like a crapload of stuff to do just for one speech.
3) You have to make a video before presenting? Or they are going to film you while you give the speech?
4) Make sure your material is accurate.

It was directed primarily at this video and its creator and not at scene kids. Only an idiot like you would think that makes me "ignorant." I don't even know what you're whining about. You think scene kids are cool? You wanted me to back up my comments? What was your problem? You know what, I don't care. I don't feel like owning you.

you seem incredibly nervous. you repeated the same thing over and over again, and it took you a long time to get to the point. I'm not critisizing your work, but the speech itself about scene kids wasnt too descriptive. it could have been better.

I definitely agree. I did not practice this speech at all before presenting, and I only wrote it the day before. I was ill-prepared. I still got a good grade on the assignment. And I went two minutes over the allotted time. It definitely could have been better. I appreciate your criticism :)
