  • The beginning reminds me of Disney's pocahontas:)

  • pretty song :3

  • Comment removed

  • Very cute cover! <3

  • her voice is soo beautiful.

  • love this song!!!!!!!

  • i do not recall this in the movie.

  • @itsmariahx it's after the run away from the cop. and before max goes to the army thing.

  • My niece slowly falls asleep EVERYTIME I put this song on. :)

  • I WANT TO DIE TO THIS SONG

  • its a pretty song i just don't think it's rite for her

  • Copying one's work is a form of flattery

  • I used to think that I would hate this movie (being a dedicated Beatles fan), but it completely blew past my expectations. I can't wait to see their director's latest work: The Tempest. It's going to be amazing!

  • they made a really good job with almost all the song in the movie, I really just watched it because of the sound !

  • Because of this one song, I absolutely LOVE Evan Rachel Wood now. :D

  • she has the voice of an angel. so beautiful. gives me shivers lol

  • @tacos9876 You didn't understand that doing a cover of a song is a compliment to the real one, to the ones who first made it(The Beatles, in this case)! This shows that you are so much closed minded. Doing a cover is a proof of love, and can be as good as the original one! Just take time to open your mind, and then listen it again. You'll see that it's a very good cover. There are such emotions in it! Great movie by the way! So yea, The Beatles can be redone, just not replaced.

  • in the movie it was taken in 1 take on the first try. Evan Rachel Wood is da shit.

  • Wonderful voice!!

But I think that it would sound better if it was a Duet between Jude and Lucy it would balance out

  • @adam13223123 very true but still the best movie ever :)

  • lovely voice

  • なんてしっとりとした If I fell

  • Awesome movie, I wasn't really interested in the Beatles until my girlfriend and I watched this movie on Valentines Day, if you like this movie you might also try watching Moulin Rouge! with Nicole Kidman and Ewin Mcgregor.

  • @vark4731

LMAO, the irony, my girlfriend bought me Across the Universe DVD for Valentines day and my mom just got me Moulin Rouge to make me feel better cuz me and my gf broke up...=*[ =*] o well, stuff happens. anyway gr8 movie and gr8 song. my favorite in the entire movie.

  • @vark4731 I could not agree with you more! And I love Moulin Rouge!

  • @Hypnotizeme21 lol those r my 2 favorite musicals

  • @SnoBalllover

Haha sweet. Same, except my other favorite is Sweeney Todd.

    =]

  • @vark4731 both are my favorite musicals :)

  • @vark4731 Omg, I am obsessed with Moulin Rouge. I started bawling my eyes out when Ewan MacGregor burst into song in Satine's room with the first line of Elton John's 'Your Song'. His voice was just too much for my silly sentimental heart to handle, haha.

  • @vark4731 Dude gaaaaayyyyyy.

  • @FEAR709 I feel sorry, that you are so ignorant ?

  • This girl's voice brings tears to my eyes.

  • After watching this movie I decided to name my first son Jude. Yay! And my daughter Adella but that has nothing to do with it.

  • My parents like bottle fed me Beatles Music! xD Our Dog's name is Ringo! Thats how obsessed we are (:

They are one of the greatest bands to exist, changed music forever.

  • @BigBadBurnette haha my mates dogs called Ringo and she didn't understand why I loved it so much until I told her about the Beatles

  • this girl has an amazing voice, another good remix of a Beatles song.

  • Wow...

  • She means:

"You'd love me more than [you loved] her [his 'girlfriend' in Liverpool]."

  • she would still say that if she were straight... but she is lesbian

  • in the movie while she says "love more than her she is looking at the ex-girlfriend of her boyfriend...

  • dear idiot, because of your lack of common knowledge in music, ill try to holdback. there is this little band called the Beatles that originally wrote this song, and they are all MEN. Obviously this is a girl singing this song, which was originally sung by MEN, so the lyrics are coming from a man's point of view. understand?

  • @Pascaleee123 I almost pissed myself when i saw that guys comment XD

  • what is happening to music these days?

how could anyone not know the Beatles?

  • @Pascaleee123 God only knows --'

I hear loads and loads of crap every time i turn the radio on

  • im only 17, but i still know good music when i hear it.

  • @Pascaleee123 im 15 but dont tell :P

  • @Pascaleee123 agreed. no one my age (around 17-18) likes the beatles. it sucks

  • oh and the worst is when i see people walking around with a Beatles shirt, and they cant even name an album.

i honestly want to drop kick them into a century with decent music.

  • ohh yeah I'm the same. it pisses me off when people do that with ANY band.

the best is when your like "whats your fav song by them." and they say "idk theres too many to pick from" then you mention one of them and their like "OMG thats my fave" haha FAKERS

  • @Audra42 im 18 and have loved The Beatles for as long as i could remember

  • i'm 13 and i love the beatles

  • @brigitkincaide Me too:)

No one at my school like them, so during study lab i'm just Beatlein' it up!

  • @meganplautz same here! except im Beatlein' (nice word! :) it up in my head since i don't have study hall yet. sometimes my friends will catch me humming a song, like last week one caught me hummin' Blackbird, and they'll be like what are you singing? every time i say "nothing" when really i'd like to say to them "you wouldn't understand because you don't listen to good music like i and over a million people in the world do" :)

  • i do

  • Audra42:

Aww, that sucks, i have quite a few 18 year old friends that are all beatlemaniacs. And, if it makes you feel any better, i'm 12 and have been loving the beatles for as long as i can remember. and i really hate modern music. its crap. my dad raised me right!

  • @Thursday196 lol heck yeah! the first sign of good parenting is when you find 60-80's music on your kids iPod :)

  • Haha yup

  • @Thursday196 same im 13 and i hate all that crapy music i have loved the beatles forever

  • Dumby.

  • Hey,douchebags.I ment that Yoko sucks at singing and yes I know that this is Evan Rachel Wood.

  • Damn Yoko Ono she sings HORRIBLE!!!

  • this is not yoko ono.... its evan rachel wood. but ya yoko does suck. ahaha

  • i fuckin hate yoko......off the subject i know but just saying ! ! O_O

  • omg, mariah SHOULD NOT cover this song... it wouldnt be soft and beautiful, it would instead be screechy and irritating....

  • Her voice has a very beautiful alto sound. ^.^

  • No matter how many times I listen to this song, it never gets old. I love it! xD It is different than the Beatles version, but it's still very good. It's very sweet...and she sings it in the perfect way for the musical/movie. [:

  • It's slower than the original. Although, It is a cover, so it's not gonna be the same as the Beatles. It's really pretty! xD (Sorry to be repetitive :\)

  • ah, so beautiful.

  • I prefer The Beatles version. Sorry,guys.

  • there's no real comparison, I mean how do you top the Beatles at their own song? You can't ^_^*

but it's easy to enjoy this, her voice is lovely.

  • eres todo lo qe soñe..

    no hay antes...

    Solo Un hermoso horizonte...

    Un anochecer..Un amanecer..junto a ti Mi amor..

    TE AMO EDWARD MONDRAGON

  • why are people thumbs downing this? it's positive... >__>

  • umm no. its a woman

  • about what?

  • jude and lucy are so cute together

  • This is such a very Beautiful version, makes me cry!

  • this is really pretty [: i love it

  • She really puts that optimistic, vulnerable sound that this song needs. And those lyrics really make you feel for poor unfortunate john and how he felt pre-yoko. At least he had someone he truly cared for before the end.

  • Why does it make you feel for "poor unfortunate John"? He wrote this when he was still married to Cynthia Lennon and long before he even met Yoko.

  • Because if she was really what he needed and wanted then yoko wouldn't have come into the picture.

  • I still don't see how you can feel that sorry for him. I'm more inclined to feel sorry for Cynthia, if I have to pick, and I definitely feel sorry for Julian Lennon. But oh well! Great song, nonetheless.

  • I love the way her voice is so soft and soothing! This goes out to my baby Walter!!! TLA!!!

  • JOHN IS BETTER.

  • well, obviously, lol. but this is a nice cover.

  • SO PRETTY.

  • I was delightfully surprised that Evan could sing.

She sounds wonderful. It reminds me of the female singers in the 1930's. Very elegant and beautiful.

  • k i fricken cant stop listneing to this song

i love it soo muchh ♥

    man im hooked ♥

  • she has the most amazing voice

  • wow.. intresting how I stumbled across this song on here, Nice..

  • i FINALLY saw the movies

but it was the day mj died :(

    *sobs*

    it ruined my day....

    mj's death i mean

i loved the movie tho ^^

    they did a good job

  • i love this song.

totally my situation at the moment...

except i think i've already fallen.

absolute love the movie and the original songs.

  • If I trust in you, oh please

    Don't run and hide

If I love you too, oh please

Don't hurt my pride like her

'cause I couldn't stand the pain

And I would be sad if our new love was in vain...... :)

  • who's singing?

  • evan rachel wood!

  • Marilyn Manson's Girl Friend :O

  • ex-girlfriend ;)

  • merci

  • don't hurt my pride like her... incredible song, honestly

  • "love was more- than holding hands"

  • AHHHHHHHHHHHH brovo how ever u spell that and very nice job!!! has anyone seen the movie

  • Yes, I have seen the movie a couple of times and LOVED it!!!

  • ive seen it!!! it is awesome!!!

  • hehe ummmmm i like the vid

  • this is an amazing movie :]

  • She did sing it nicely, but she made my eye twitch at certain notes that she didn't hit well. But hey, that's just me. The song was still sung nice.

  • did ur eye twitch becuz the note was hit that well?

  • No, it's just a specific part where her voice cracks and it made the inside of my eye twitch.

  • You're so incredibly ignorant. Haha. I wasn't saying she sucked or this was bad. I just said there's a specific note she can't hit so it hurt my ears. I also said this song was still sung nicely. So you really just made yourself look stupid sir/ma'am.

  • why do you have to criticise and be harsh?

u said she didn't hit notes well and it hurt your ears, how is that not a criticism?

i dunno why people have the need to be harsh

    why?

what makes u say nasty things claire?

  • Have you guys never heard of constructive criticism? Really now, the important part is that Clarie said that the song was well done with the exception of a particular note. There was no personal attack made on the singer or the song so there's no reason to get hung up about it.

  • Thank you guys. I didn't mean to sound harsh, Rasabihariji. It's just, you pretty much called me a critical bitch so Ya know, of course I felt very insulted.

  • To be honest, I partially agree with Claire. There's one note that is just off enough to startle the ear, but it's not to the point that it ruins the song. Overall, I think it was very well done and the vocalist should be commended for her efforts, but should work on tonal clarity.

  • wow

  • this version is really pretty:)

  • Who says that young folk today don't have any talant? (well I do for one) But she does a fantastic job of her beautiful rendition of a classic tune that is very difficult to sing. Great movie by the way from an old Beatles fan that used to have his bedroon walls, ceiling to floor plastered with Beatles photos. Wish I still had em.

  • such a beautiful song. It makes me cry.

    Beatles forever!

  • so soft and yet sad...just makes me melt

  • sush a pretty sound!

  • wow, what a voice!

i wish i had this kind of vocal range.

amazing movie, amazing band, amazing song and singer.<33

  • romantic! sad! lovely! <3

  • I love that song.

  • i love this version of the song, but hey, i like both versions!

    Beatles Will Live Forever :)

  • This version of the song is really beautyful! I love it! And I love the move, it is one of the best movies I have ever seen! X3

  • love the film, love the song...

  • ha i sing harmonix to this video

  • so peaceful...

  • and i would be sad if i knew love wasn't made so i hope you see that i would love to love you. . . . ha ha, my favorite part. :]

  • It's actually "And I would be sad if our new love was in vain ..."

Your interpretation's pretty funny though! :)
