  • it's "que lastima" Spanish for "what a pity" sheesh! get educated.

  • @Zealith Is possible, tough would be bad a mishup opera in italian and spanish. I do prefer to think that the sentence just don't have any sense, like a lot of other opera's song.

  • nie ma steama ma karabina

  • My new ringtone! :)

I just wonder if I'll be able to answer the phone or I'll just listen to it play... :S

  • Yeah, it's been a long time.. 100 years, huh.

  • "Ché lastima" sounds like "que lastima", which is "what a shame" in Spanish, no? Ché vergogna is this phrase in italiano, but it does not match the song, does it?

Whatever it is does not really matter to me. The voices are so beautiful in their harmony that it carries me beyond the lyrics anyway. I just wish it was longer...

  • Cara bel, cara mia bella, mia bambina, oh, Chell! Ché lastima, ché lastima, oh, cara mia, addio! Ah, mia bambina, perché non passi lontana, de si lontana da scienza, cara, cara mia bambina, ah mia bel, ah mia cara, a mia cara ah mia bambina-oh cara, cara miiiii-

  • my cooking is fabulous, even the smoke alarm is cheering me on.

  • According to Ellen McLain, she says herself that all the translations online are wrong because she never fully learned Italian and that she was making up Italian sounding words. Do a search for "ellen mclain part 1" and you should find a 6 part recording of her at an Anime convention and she eventually discusses the translations.

  • @heresyfnord

    Lol

  • i bet if your phone went off woth this song playing all the portal 2 fans would gather around

  • Too short Q_Q

  • Why do people bother running the song through Google and then not bothering to fix mistakes like 'that the estimate'? Do they even read what they posted?

  • @ZechsMerquise73 ummm i think thats right some people might speak italian u know

  • Comment removed

  • @smorepuppy What, in your opinion does "that the estimate" mean?

  • @ZechsMerquise73 here is a different translation from a different translator Dear bella, my dear bella! My baby girl, or heaven! What I ... What an I. O my darling, goodbye! My dear, why don't you walk away? Yes, far from Scïenza, [personified] dear, dear my girls? Ah, my lovely! Ah, my dear! Ah, my dear! Ah, my little girl! O dear, my darling ... it has no estamite

  • @smorepuppy That's even worse. "Bella" is not a word in the English language. The sentence "What I - What an I" makes no sense at all. "It has no estimate" makes no contextual sense, and there is no comparative Italian phrase at the end of the song.

  • @ZechsMerquise73 ok ok whatever it's a stinking name.

  • @smorepuppy What's a name?

  • @ZechsMerquise73 name- a word or a combination of words by which a person, place, or thing, a body or class, or any object of thought is designated, called, or known.

  • @smorepuppy What did you say is a name? Bella? Not in this context. "Bella" means beautiful in Italian.

  • @ZechsMerquise73 do u like marshmellows?

  • @jhaagens Marshmallows? Sure.

  • @smorepuppy The only mistake the person made who posted the lyrics in Italian is that its "stima", not the masculine "stimo". As to the others, "che la stima" basically means "whom is esteemed". Dumping sentences into a translator just makes for results that don't make any sense.

  • Dear beautiful, my beautiful darling! My little girl, or heaven! That the estimate ... That the estimate. O my dear, farewell! My dear child, why not walk away? Yes, away from science, dear, my dear child? Ah, my pretty! Ah, my dear! Ah, my dear! Ah, my child! O dear, my dear ...

  • @Arkenarge chell's name is in it...

  • @LPSgal10 chiel is in the lyrics and it means heaven...

    it's more like a pun.

    chiel is read as chell.

  • ...So lovelyy

  • @eeveelover12 CAN EVERYONE STOP FUSSING ABOU THE LYRICS I SWEAR IM GETTING TIRED OF THESE POSTED EVERYWHERE!

  • Italian: Cara bella, cara mia bella! Mia bambina, o ciel! Ché la stimo... Ché la stimo. O cara mia, addio! La mia bambina cara, perché non passi lontana? Sì, lontana da Scïenza, [personified] cara, cara mia bambina? Ah, mia bella! Ah, mia cara! Ah, mia cara! Ah, mia bambina! O cara, cara mia...
