@rif4our It is a tool that will help you identify if the signal is getting stronger or weaker a you move the dish. For the price of it, it is a useful tool. But don't expect it to be a professional tool. Those cost in the hundreds of dollars and do much more.

As you practice with this and understand how to align your dish, it will be a very easy and fast every time you use it. Make sure you have a good compass as well because you will need to know what direction you have to aim the dish.

I use my satellite receiver for aliening the dish I turn up the tv volume too hear the high pitch noise

For RV I prefer to use a system automatic (or semiautomatic) like the one in site s2cplanet . com

how do you wire the thing.sat to tester then were does the other cable go. is it to the sat box??

@BANGERS68 yes the other cable goes to the sat box, make sure its switched on thats where the meter gets its power to make beep sound
