@KeansburgMark No it is not illegal to own cards it is illegal to USE the cards and play any card game relating to gambling such as poker or black jack for money or fun. You can play cribbage and other games just not games in which gambling is involved in any form. So poker is completely outlawed in the state and illegal to play even for fun.

unfortunately this guy is wrong. if there's 300 in the pot and u bet 300, ur opponent is getting a horrible price to call drawing to 9 or less hearts, therefore they wouldnt call unless they suck and dont know how to play txholdem properly.
