  • Thanks for posting the video. I am considering buying this or the omni XLT 127, portability is important for me since I want to carry it to places. Any reasons you did not consider the XLT 127 ?

  • @mchalla001 Hi, I was looking for a GOTO telescope so my kids could use it to look for astro items easily, the XLT 127 seems a better quality optical telescope but it is not a GOTO telescope, but you can buy that telescope later on and attach it to the mount of the Nextart 6SE.

  • @pepito2183 Thanks, I ended up purchasing the 6SE as well. I did not know the mount was compatible with XLT127, but thats a big plus if it is.

  • @pepito2183 Sir, with all due respects, the Celestron SLT-127mm. Aperture Maksutov Telescope is a FULL GOTO Computerized SLT-127mm. GOTO Computerized Telescope from CELESTRON. The SLT-127mm. Maksutov is on Par with the NexStar 6SE. The difference is minimal, SLT-127 GOTO Computerized is 127mm. Aperture Maksutove Telescope Computerized and the NexStar 6SE is a 152mm. 6" Schmidt Cassegrain. BOTH Scopes are Superb GOTO Computerized Telescopes. It is a matter of Preference and Budject selection!!!!

  • @mchalla001 The NexStar SE6" Schmidt-Cassegrain is Also a SUPERB Instrument which has FULL Portability but is 152mm. 6" Aperture as opposed to a smaller 127mm. Aperture on the SLT-127. But SLT-127 mm. is a Ultra-High Resolution Ultra-High Contrast Maksutov Telescope also of SUPERB Perfomance++++. It is all a matter of Personal preference!!!!All are GOTO Computerized Telescopes, All are Superb Astro-Photographic platforms!!!!

  • How much does one of this cost?

  • felicitaciones, linda maquina, espero haya cumplido tus espectativas, buena musicalizacion tambien, eres de españa, ?

    buenos cielos

  • why not get a 10 or 12 inch dob instead thats a great scope but isnt bigger aperture what you want?

  • @monimstarfox That is a good option too, but as I have been able to corroborate, handling and transportation is very important, believe me!!.

So this telescope has been a very well investment and option and my family and I have been able to enjoy the sky!!.

We have been able to take the telescope to different locations and set it up very easily. A DOB of 10 and 12 is really bulky.

    Thank you for your comment.

  • i would be ripping the boxes to shreds!! how fun! cant wait to get mine!

  • Very Nice! Glad to see that you got the kids involved in the unpacking. Curious little minds will lead our future :-)

  • gracias!

  • just got one tonite... yeayyyyy
