  • I woulda done the same thing! Fuck looking for a freebag from 13000ft! But yeah that would have to hurt at terminal!!

  • @ skydiveguy

I was on this jump and the reason he pulled at 4,000ft is there was 2 more 4 way teams above us. Now what would you do if another skydiver ended up wrapped in your one and only canopy? You have 17 people on the same jump run and that means everyone must deploy at the same height. If you cant sort out issues with a F111 reserve canopy from 4,000ft you should not be jumping. It was the right way to handle this type of malfunction.

  • I agree with skydive guy, you are now down to one chute, pull your reserve immediately so you have as much altitude in case of issues.

  • Th ebest choice would have been to pull immediately. Id rather have altitude on my side if the reserve has a problem.

  • My first thought was "it's gonna hurt when that reserve opens at terminal"!

  • Did he get his freebag back?

  • @cpoxon He did. The guys at the DZ watched it come down not too far away so jumped in the van and picked it up for him. The next day a student landed a bit off and even found the cutaway handle!

  • Haha so chilled. Dont think the dude in the blue jumpsuit realised whats potting until 1:40

  • Love it. At 1.40 I can see him say "Ok....I get it...don't be soft...get back here and let's finish this jump!"
