  • GOD I WILL ALWAYS LOVE THAT SONG , I am 64 now but jamed all night to that in 1964 !!! Those bands were meant for real dancing in the 60's . I try to keep My grand kids in touch with the music of the early 60';s. We had a lot of fun back then !!!!

  • This is when music was great & I would never get tired of dancing to it all night !! Those were the days !!! From Someones Grandma ~~

  • No way, The Isley Brothers were great and Bruce One I just found and is Great !!! This is how the bands all played in the early 60,s they just kept going and we just kept danicing all night long !! We had ho chubby teen agers back then, we all stayed skinny , Dancing is a FUN thing if its high energy like this performance. I would have loved to have been there. Such memories of they way things really were the early 60.s

  • Such fun. This song had been released for about 15 years when this concert was taped. Huh. Sometimes I think I was born in the wrong generation.

  • Twist and SHOUT NUCKA!!!!!!

  • Believe it or Not, In Philippines we Have a Show Tittled Twist and Shout.

  • @TheDOGLOVER27 Yes there is. ;D

  • Bruce is the embodiment of everything wonderful about & and roll. He's no inovater, or great musical influence, strictly speaking. But given the length, quality, and consistancy of his shows & career, he is argueably the finest performer in modern popular music. Perhaps his greatest influence is in setting a standard for what is possible, for other bands to aim for. His RISING album, and 2005 solo tour were nearly as impresive as BORN TO RUN, DARKNESS, and his1978 tour 25 years earlier.

  • @jonslocum123 I thought both the Magic (2008) album and tour, and the Dream (2009) tour, were just off-the-charts great, too.

At 60, he played 3 1/2 intense hours at the last Dream show in late November, 2009, Buffalo, NY, the city in which the Darkness tour kicked off, 31 1/2 years earlier.

  • soul brothers weep!

  • i wanna be there , they're having so much fun

people say bruce can't dance but i find those moves from 8.32 something else. how did those girls in the front row resist jumping up on stage to be with him.

  • how can stay seated? wonderful!!!

  • it doesn't get any better than this!!!

  • @pchappaz Bruce is good but The Beatles are the best..

  • i rather the beatles..

  • I rather the original. It has more soul. The Beatles played it well too, lots of passion and youth ...but not as much soul and groove, just IMO

  • For the out of towner who asked who is this,,,,,its bruce springsteen

  • the internet exists outside of america you dumb fuck.

  • Just because you're an iliterate idiot, you don't have to show it in public.

  • One can only laugh at the epic fail that is your excistence.

  • Official language?? It's funny when nativists go senile and forget the policies of their own country.

  • who are they ?

  • callate idiota

  • a mi me decis idiota pedazo de boludo jaja. anda a escuchar banditas chotas gil d goma

  • noob

  • Whoa year 1978. But still great.

  • I was just reminded of a story my folks told me of one time when they were doing the twist at a dance and my dad actually couldn't get back up! lol Bruce did though! Good for him!

  • Astounding n Awesome performance by Bruce n his charismatic co-riders.Excellent version!!

  • And this comes from Ritchie Valens and his version of 150 years ago traditional mexican song "La bamba"...

Such a long story troughout modern music for these tunes!

  • why is this in black and white? this is 1978 for God's sake

  • perfectoo

  • When Bruce did this while in the Castiles, sounded even more like a Beatles tune.

  • absolutely amazing. wish I was there

  • Well there were two different sounds to the song and what can you do if you like one over the other.

  • You can love both versions equally . They are different. I can't think of a better cover than The Beatles covering The Isley Brothers original. By the way my favorite Isley brothers tune is "Twisting with Linda". Do you know it?

  • awesome, it rocks. that's true music

"mon dieu mon dieu mon dieu ! Je crois que c'esst mon meilleurs remonte moral! oalla il est trop chou quand il sourit !"

Yeah all the people ! Now Twist and Shout... and dance !

  • Not bad for a shy kid from New Jersey.

Shake it Shake it Shake it baby!!

  • Alas, no more four+ hour shows ....

  • wtg springsteen

  • ABSOLUTELY AWESOME! This calls for capitol letters, I'm sorry. ENERGY!

  • A lot of people think the show the night before was great because it was broadcast on WNEW, but I think this was the better show.

  • OFS!

  • pure energy !

  • Great remake of The Beatles remake down to George and Paul's parts and then incorporating Shout

  • pcone2 this is based on the Isley version which the Beatles copied down to the "ahhs" and "woos",and then morphs into another Isley classic, "Shout". Not to take anything from Bruce's fine performance, but most people are not aware of how big the Isley influence is.

  • Garry W. Talent on vocals??!!! Well I never!!!

  • yeah I know!

The only other time I saw him on vocals was during Spirit in the Night during hammersmith odeon '75

  • really good, it rocks, that's the "true" music

  • OMG..I loved the Capitol..saw everyone there...I spent my entire high school years in that place.

  • Terri, I'm envious. I'm from Hudson County and I never saw any of his shows there.

  • It was the best....it was just this old movie theater and the whole place reeked of pot..LOL Saw a lot of great shows there. It was so small & intimate. I loved it.

  • hombre de la binchaaaaa/man of the bincha

  • hey thanks for posting this! great job!!

  • This kicks ass. Thanks a lot for the upload. :)
