I am an iranian doctor that loves pigeons, not love , but love madly, long story but I had to times in my life pigeons , both time I lose them , once becuase my mother give them away, second time because of birdsinfuenza, can you please tell me that have i have to hand feed them to start train them or i can start with birds that feed by thier own parens, if so how they must be, please help me
Hey Let me ask you a few questions? Did you handfeed or start working with them after they were parent reared? I would love to talk with you threw email, let me know if thats ok? I have a kit of 12 all a month old, and im gona pull 4 from the kit box tomorrow to bring inside to start imprinting, I just imprinted a lanner falcon, hope to talk to ya soon
To be honest with you, I use to love pigeon and chicken when I was a teen. Please train me how you do that. I will probably breed some to train them because they are like dogs and cat, they help relieve stress.
You have to select a breed that you like the most and start training them at a young age. Once, they are bonded to you anywhere you take them, the'll be with you. My birds fly along when I go jogging like a dog. I enjoy them very much. Have yo seen all 3 video clips?
Yeah I seen all your three clips. You know what? They are way better then remote controlled RC LOL! Can I buy a baby from you? A few baby from you? Are you Hmong? Where you from? Message me....
one more thing, do they poop on you? can u train hommer pigeions or just roller, rollers are kool, u like them fat ones that cant fly lol, so if i was there and whistle at yur birrd would they cum to me
yo if i was a hawk ill stalk you and take yo birds j/k, what happens if i was there and whistle at them, and when do you train them, at young or old, i do like the way you do it but my frend he just a whistle that can only be heard
You can train them even when they are older but jst takes more time. Best to train any animal at a younger age. However, you have to know how train them if you wnt them to fly for you and to come back to you when you call them. Otherwise, they will become lazy and will walk along with you at the park. Crow, the black figurita is my best. Crow will play at the park and if I walk away out of sight, he will take off into the sky and look for me. When he spots me, he'll come down to my fingers/arm.
You can still train yours to be tame too. You have to be patient and work with him on a daily basis unti he is trained then take him out. Rember, if your bird is tame and not trained, it will not fly and come back to you. Once, he is in the air, natural instinct is to keep on flying. A tame bird will usaully not fly but if trained properly, like mine will fly and perform. Once, trained, you'll enjoy it alot. It is usaully easier to train them when they are young. Good luck!
how on god's green earth did you train them all to come when you called? I just got a pigeon (my first) and i'd love to train her like that so she could get lots of excercise. she's 6 months. is that too old to start training now??
It is not too late to train your bird. If you have time and patience, you should be able to get it trained. However, it is easier to train them when they are younger. Becareful though, if your bird is not trained and you try to fly him at the park, there is a chance that it might not come back. Mine, will come back even if they are chased by a hawk. they will fly very high and when danger is cleared, will come diving down and land on my shoulders. Good luck and let me know it it goes.
This is just so cool! I love it!

Are you a pigeon fancier, or you just like the way I train? I don't mind teaching you, it takes patience and skill. Do you have any pigeons?
