nope! no tearing at all! i was really careful to let me body expel the baby on its own...and when i did push, i was sure to push very gradually. the water helps prevent tearing too! :)

I should remember that if I can have another one cos I tore during labour and couldn't go to the toilet without gas and air for a week!
