Overall good performance. Her voice is just BRILLIANT, she has huge potential and she SLAYS Christina Aguilera and her off-tune yelped strained barks.
In this performance she was still a beginner (now she's 10x better than in 2008), so she had a few pitch issues and sometimes she raised her larynx. But overall she went along with the music. Good performance, but not her best one.

OK I have to say I watched 'your' x factor via youtube, but her songs Bad Boys and All night long were really high placed in 'our' top 50. leona has a range of 3.4 octaves, alex's is 3
alex is a contralto ---as you can tell by the lack of high notes and leona is a soprano

1 - I didn't name Hudson, whose voice type is soprano.
2 - Toni Braxton sold 4x more than Leona, and she slays her in terms of skill. Much more resonance and control, better sense of pitch, better vocal placement.
3 - Sales are not an indicator of skill.
4 - Mariah is an alto, but she can sing into soprano tessitura.
5 - Leona squeezes her throat all the time, hence her strain, but you ignorant stan keep considering her as the ultimate lyric soprano.

leona lewis has sold 28 million records off 2 albums, toni braxton has sold 40 million off 6 albums.- over 18 years.
jen hudson stays much more in the mezzo range than full soprano.
sales are an indictor of how much they are preferred.
mariah chooses to be called an alto but again uses soprano range much more often (unfortunately) her range crosses boundaries.
leona doesnt squeeze her vocals! look it up!

Leona's technique sucks. She has an amazing voice, but she squeezes and strains past Eb5, no support nor resonance.
Sales are nothing but numbers. They have nothing to do with vocal skills. At this point, Madonna would be better than Whitney.

leona doesnt cstrain past eb5, her D6 is considered top be the best in the world and can sustain it for more than 10 seconds...look at her vocal tour vids...dont comment on someone who u have obviously no knowledge of.

@numba1danman Leona's head voice is great, but as her whole range, it's thin. And I'm speaking about chest voice, not head voice, so you #FAIL again. Leona DOES strain past Eb5. Her tone becomes too thin, and her throat too squeezed. Hence her strain. Period.

I've loved Alexandra since the auditions - she's got the lot - voice, looks, moves and is wonderfully modest and dosen't come across as desperate.
Unfortunatley, she seems to be overlooked through the likes of Laura and Diane who are very 'contemporary' in their styles.
