  • hey i appreciate u posting this video its really helpful. but i got i few questions. first, if i dnt have an inclined bench wat can i use to get the same effect? and second, wats an alternative to push ups tht give u the same effect? i cnt do push ups for now do to a small injury in my wrist, so i cnt press my palm against the ground or anything like tht.

    Elevate a flat bench on a box or step to make it an incline bench.

    For push ups do them on push up handles, a lot of sporting goods stores carry push up handles, or you can even use Hex Shaped dumbbells as push up handles. This will be more comfortable on your wrists.

    You can still workout with weights and play football. Virtually all football players lift weights as part of their training.

  • Hay Lee , I wanted to ask , If I can push bar/rod about 50 killos , that means I can do 25 killos with one hand with dumbbell ?

  • @ReadTerms Generally you'll be DB pressing less then you BB press. So try 20 kilos in each hand.

    Generally, most guys will be able to barbell bench press more then they can dumbbell bench press. So you could probably bench more then 200 pounds with a barbell. But again the actual carry over you get will vary for everyone.

    Regardless of the exercise you are doing, start with light weight and build up. It's better to get the form down pat and feel the muscles working properly before attempting heavy weights.

    It comes down to the combo of diet, cardio, and weight training. You need to lose the excess bodyfat in order to lose the manboobs. I've got a good program you can follow called "Extreme Fat Loss" that you can get on my website LeeHayward*com

  • @Restuna14 Leemaygward is talking bullshit trying to sell you his products man. Buy some dumbbells (don't go easy on your self. Take as much as you can, push your self), train your chest arms, and core 40/50 mins once every 48 hours. Eat less bread (crackers etc. instead) eat 3 healthy modest meals or eat 6 times but don't eat more than your fists size.

  • @Restuna14 Will be hard at the beginning especially if your used to eat a lot and your stomach is big. But after a few days u get really used to it, if you have a hard time eat frequently (6 times fist size) keep eating meat, but no skin, not to fat etc.

    I used to have man boobs, and was overweight. Believe me it works. And with the dumb bell training you replace fat with muscle. After reaching your goal you can take it easy and eat what ever you want practically, more muscle=u use more energy

  • @Restuna14 Believe it or not, it's the fat in your belly that is causing the man boobs to a large degree. Belly fat produces the female hormone, estrogen, the more belly fay, the more estrogen. So, like the man says, it's about losing weight, chest exercises alone will do very, very little for you.

  • How fast Pushups should be performed? I do them slower than shown in the video and I can do 3 sets of 13 reps. Should I do pushups at a faster speed?

    Try going faster and see how it feels. I personally believe that you should lift as fast as you can while maintaining proper exercise form. This will place maximum stress on the muscles and stimulate the most growth.

    The main thing to focus on is your diet, you need to make sure you consume more calories then you burn off in order to keep your body in a caloric surplus to grow from.

  • @DHurley21 diet is your main consideration, that should always be your first priority, but when it comes to taking supplements, remember they are supplements and not complete meals unless you do what i do add fruit, oats, lsa etc etc. two i recommend simply because they have the lowest sugar and fat levels which will just add fat not muscle mass, are International Protein, (its from australia) but u might be able to get it overseas. its extremely high quality protein or inner armour mass peak

  • whoah dude im only 13 n i never actually did a chest workout before. i was doing this with 5kg weights yesterday and my whole chest is soo sore.. am i going to be ok? its the same with my triceps and biceps, theyre all sore.. my forearms are fine cuz im used to it since i play tennis and use wristband weights on my forearms wen i play matches. how long does it take for me to build up some muscle/strength

  • I like this excercise for the chest much better than the standard bar bench press as you get more range of motion and really get the chest to stretch for more muscular development.

  • If you're about to fail on a rep, and can't seem to get the dbs to a good point to get them out of your arms, what the best way to drop them without injury? (kind of like the bench press where you lean to the side to drop the bar)...(no spotter)

  • You had me at "full body workouts every other day"...!!

    THAT there my friend is why you haven't gained any mass....Assuming that your workout lasts for 2 hours and you do full body....you'd hardly get any time to work any of your body parts effectively to stimulate muscle growth...try working specific body parts on alternate days...working one part of they body per day...like chest and triceps on one day...biceps and back on another etc....

  • full body training doesnt give results? ever heard of 5x5 or HST training? Reg park? Steve reeves? Did you know that arnold himself used fullbody workouts until he decided to take roids and become a pro bodybuilder? The type of fullbody training you are thinking of (and most uninformed people try to do) is definetly not the kind that gives results, which is why most people resort to splits. for the record, fullbody works great if you know what your doing.

  • Yep, when I started working out I was about 135 pounds and that was soaking wet, before a hair cut, after eating a big meal, and before a bowel movement LOL

    I have a question. What part of the chest do decline presses target? Also, is there any "trick" I could use so that I'm not damaging my shoulder when trying to reach for the weights, if I don't have a spotter?

  • Do some pre muscle fatigue workouts - like ez bar burls followed by bent over rows

  • If I would have done those presses and flys first, i wouldnt get any more than 5 pushups.. =D
