whats nice to see when you vote for a winner, even when you lose.Losers have always won in americanism,it would be so amazing if good won,and America principals became real.
Housing?there are thousands of abandoned homes that can easily be revitalized.
i have never voted for a democratic candidate for president. twice i voted for a republican, plus once for perot (who we really need in THIS election)...however, I have voted for Nader twice. I believe we really need candidates that represent Americans, not large business interests. We live in the business-run state.
its kind of stupid to say that he is spoiling it for the democrats. in a competition like the election, everybody is against everybody. ralph has an equal right to run, so why isnt it the democrats who take votes away from the greens?
For dorsk 188. Ralph was asked to speak after the debate. He wasn't in the debate because he wasn't running at this time. You comment about soft ball questions and yet Ralph spoke more intelligently about more important subjects than all the two party candidates ever have. It's amazing to me that, after watching the two party candidates speak, you could not understand how Ralph has so much more to offer. It saddens me that someone like you, who is so unaware of the real issues, gets to vote.
Softball questions, a single respondent who has not even decided he's going to run for the party nomination (and eventually doesn't), and zero follow ups?
Even if you're not a fan of the two parties, how could someone really think the Greens are playing in the same league?
Well, I suppose Americans have grown so accustomed to name calling, stretches of the truth, emotional displays, and candidates that avoid any question they are asked so they can make their rehearsed talking points that they forget what debate is.
You may continue to vote for Democrats/Republicans but their track record is clear - we are always poking our nose around with an aggressive foreign policy and we are still dependent on oil.
No matter what we stand for, we need more choices than two parties that are essentially the same. Paul doesn't have the guts to run 3rd party it seems. If he did he runs a big risk of not being reelected for Congress. We need his voice (though often ignored) fighting for ending our imperialistic foreign policy, and civil liberties. It would be a shame if he was not reelected. I donated 100 bucks to Ron Paul, but I would vote Nader over Paul.
Nadar may get all of the press, but i saw what Cynthia Mckinney did face to face with Donald Rumsfeld while all the progressive white dudes just inveighed from their comfort zones.Better believe i'll be voting for Ms.Mckinney(6-term rep.Georgia's Fourth Congressional District).ATL STAND UP!
Ralph Nader gives me hope that there are still those who seriously want to change the US from the ground. We need to hear more voices like his in the television. The US is corrupt. This guy realize that and that's why he have a hard time getting into debates with different candidates.
Yes. Nader is the only one I can trust to run the country. Not sure that I would brand him a "politician"... by majority of politician standards. Talk about experience, people should really explore Ralph's backgroud, and his fight for consumer and civil rights to understand why he deserves to lead us.
Ron Paul is in many ways the antithesis of Nader. He doesn't believe in regulation for one thing...which will intentionally, or unintentionally, lead us to corporate monarchy. One key example on deregulation's harm is the current housing and mortgage crisis.
Multiply this times 10 under a Ron Paul administration.
I wish Nader would run for Congress or Senate. While I think he should be President, it makes sense to shoot for something more realistic. That's how you build presidential power for the future.
Mr. Nader said he won't decide on running for another month. I appreciate what he has done for the Green Party. And the Green Party should not wait until he is ready to declare. We have to run whoever is best for us when it is time to vote.
Where did you see that? If you have a link I'd like to see it, since you're the first person I've seen saying it. I agree w/your point completely, which is what I've been saying to people. The clock is running, we have one great and three other solid candidates in the race, so I think it's time for us to have at least a few more debates and pick the best one nominee in the field at convention time to be our nominee.
I really hope he runs. He is the most eloquent, knowledgeable person supporting these agendas, none of which are very fringe in all actuality. I hope he runs and Greens and all progressives and disenfranchised Democrats support him.
Who is the ASSHOLE in the audience yelling times up, history will prove Nader to be an American hero. His opposition will look barbaric, cruel, and primitive.

This is supposed to be a democracy, you must DEMAND IMPEACHMENT: Please call your congressional
representatives today - Demand
impeachment hearings for Bush and Cheney - Capitol Hill Switchboard:
(202) 224-2131 , (800) 828-0498
(Repost this message so the numbers stay on top of the
comments list!) And check out the wikipedia page "Movement
to Impeach Bush."
